Easter Deviled Eggs

I had so much fun creating these deviled eggs!  Boil the eggs as normal and get the shell off and take the yolk out.  Then put the whites in water/food dye and let them soak for about an hour.  :)  They are perfect for Easter!  :)  Now it is time for me and the family to go enjoy a Good Friday meal with some church family.  :)   Thank-you Jesus for enduring pain and suffering so that I could live!   "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." - I Peter, 2:24 "We may say that on the first Good Friday afternoon was completed that great act by which light conquered darkness and goodness conquered sin. That is the wonder of our Saviour's crucifixion." - Phillips Brooks

We are sailing with JESUS...Are you?

Matthew 8:23-27 Jesus Calms the Storm   23   Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him.   24   Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.   25   The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”   26  He replied,  “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?”  Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.   27  The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

Kool-Aid Egg dying

A big thank-you to Hey! Jen-Renee  for giving me this idea for doing our Easter Eggs.  :)  I would have never even considered dying my eggs with Kool-Aid but let me tell you it is easy and it works.  :)  I also got a great idea off Pinterest by using the muffin tin to do the dying.  It made for easy clean up which is always a bonus!  :)  Use one Kool-Aid packet with 2 cups water and then dunk your hard boiled eggs.  :)  I only used 4 packets but we did dunk in several colors and had fun with it.

Baby Food Jar Cap= Letter Help

Are you looking for a way to reuse some of those caps off of your baby food jars?  Then here is a great idea.  After you clean them simply use a permanent marker and write letters on each cap.  I did a set of capital, lower case, and numbers.  After you have completed that there are an endless amount of activities you can use them for.   Our first activity was very simple.  I grabbed our letter flash cards and my daughter had to match the letters, say the letter, say the sound, and trace each letter.   A few other ideas: -make words -practice names -match lower case with upper case -put the alphabet in order -find objects that start with that letter -I bet you can come up with other ideas too...Please make sure you come back and share your ideas.  :)

Titus had a Monkey Good Time!

It seems like I just brought home my lil bundle of joy but this last week we got to sing "Happy Birthday."  I love birthday parties!  I had so much fun getting ideas for a monkey themed party.  :)  Even though the birthday boy is too young to play party games he still had fun observing and playing his own way.   When our guests arrived I had 2 simple games that even young ones could play.  The first was "Monkey see, monkey do" which is a copy type game.  One person is the monkey and you copy what ever actions they make.  Very simple and even if Titus did not do it he could craw around and laugh and play.  The second game was, "Monkey in the middle" which is similar to "pig in the middle."  I brought in a monkey stuffed animal and the kids were in a circle throwing the monkey trying to not let the person or monkey in the middle get the stuffed animal.  If they got the monkey then there would be a new monkey in the mi...
