Flower art

Today I went out to trim an out of control flower bush.  The branches were almost touching the roof it looked ridiculous.  The red flowers were beautiful but it sure needed a trim.   My daughter was excited to pick all the flowers from the branches that were trimmed off.  Then we decided to do an art project with the flowers.   I found a box from moving and set it outside and grabbed the glue and we went to town.  It was Selah's idea to create faces with the flowers.  :)   We also pressed hard on the flowers and used the natural color.  My daughter thought it was neat to find nature markers.  :)  The ideas are endless on what you can create with nature as your art tools.  :)  Go have fun collecting and creating from nature.

Summer Bucket List

We finally sat down and made a big list of Summer To Do's!  :)  It is a big list so I hope we can tackle it all.  :)  A few things we want to do this summer include: -See Brave in Movie Theater - Camping - Baseball Game -Water Park -Sprinkler Pad -Outdoor fort - Hotel visit - Visit family - Some Arts and crafts - And so much more that we will share on here.  :)  One of my blogger friends has a huge list so if you want some awesome ideas check her list:   http://mamato3blessings.blogspot.com/2012/06/our-summer-list-of-fun-to-dos-bucket.html This year we wrote our ideas on Popsicle sticks and my daughter helped color a bucket picture and we cut a whole in the paper so we can put the sticks in the hole with a bag attached behind it to collect them.

Styrofoam, Noodles, and a little water

The imagination went soaring as my 4 year old played in a big Rubbermaid tub with some Styrofoam, noodles, water, and some of her bath animal toys.  Later she also added some grass and flowers.   My daughter created a sail boat that was in the ocean among many glaciers.  It was adorable as I sat back watching and listening.  She has "snow" falling on animals, she had boats sinking, she had animals saving other animals.  It is amazing to see the creative juices flow through our children.  :)  I encourage you parents to look around the house and find something that can allow your children to play, explore, and be creative with. :)

Tangled Collage

How much fun can a 4 year old have with a Princess magazine, scissors, and a glue stick??  A TON!! My daughter has been a Tangled fan for a year now!  :)  I did realize that we need to practice cutting a bit more, but first I must get a better scissors for her.  :)

Stickers and Popsicle Sticks

This is the fun we had on Memorial Day!  All you need is some stickers, Popsicle sticks, and glue.  I set up all the supplies and let my 4 year old create what ever she wanted.  I loved her creativity!  We probably used 50 Popsicle sticks through this activity but it was worth the fun! My 14 month old also had some fun with his sticks.  He had a couple stickers but he had more fun using his sticks as drums.  :)
