Double Rainbow

As we were at church we saw the rain falling and then this beautiful double rainbow!  It was so awesome to see and reflect on God's promises in our life!  What encouragement!  :) Trust me this picture does not capture the magnificent beauty of this rainbow!

"Field of Peace" by Joyce Meyer Book Review

Joyce Meyer is one neat lady and it is so fun to read her new children's books!  I have already reviewed her story " Every Which Way to Pray "  a couple months ago. I was very excited to review "Field of Peace."  This story takes place at the Everyday Zoo and the baseball championships are underway.  Boyd, the star pitcher is not on his game because he feels terrible about a not so nice choice he made.  Can He fix it? Will he find peace again and make the right choice? Will they win the game? I love all the animal characters within the story.  My daughter loves giraffes so the star, Boyd, was a giraffe and even though he made a bad choice he was able to admit his wrong and fix his mistake.  Arnold the Armadillo was the character that Boyd was not very nice too.  I could see a second book off of this one teaching about Arnold overcoming FEAR!  :)  I like the lesson applied to the story.  I think it is so impor...

Mommy VS Doctors

I know this blog is positive but every now an again a mom has to vent a little.  This vent is mommy vs. DOCTORS and tests and IRON! I have shared that at my son's 12 month and 15 month appointment his iron count was low and that we had to see a GI doctor.  We saw the GI doctor earlier this month where we discussed his low iron and low weight gain the last couple months.  The doctor threw out some things that I was not happy to hear such as Celiac disease, heartburn, Anemia, Chrones, and Stomach inflammation.  We had to gather some BM samples and do another blood draw. I left that first appointment thinking my son is pretty healthy and does not seem to have any concerning factors for anything he had mentioned.  His iron numbers were 9.9 in April, 10.1 in June, and 9.9 in August but they want them 10.5-13.2.  So they are not too terribly low. Yesterday the nurse called with his results and his blood and poop samples all were negative...

S'more's with my Lil Sweetie

Usually on Wednesday's you find us at the church for youth group.  I love helping my husband but over the last several months I have not been able to help as much as I want with chasing two kiddos.  I really need to find someone to babysit my bundles for me but budget wise we just can't pay someone.  Tonight at youth they were having a bon fire and my daughter loves hanging with the students but her little brother needed to go to bed since he was very fussy.  So she started to have tears roll down her face when I said we would miss the fire.   Well, as soon as I got the little brother in bed we had a deck date with candles and s'more making.  :)  My little girl is growing up so fast.  As I starred at her through the candle light I got misty eyed because she is so big.  She was talking non stop about so many different things.  I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!  Mother's make sure you make the time and prioritize some one-on-one ti...

Rock Stars DVD Review

"Rock Stars" was released August of 2012 and can be found at Redbox locations, Target, Walmart, and Amazon.com.  It is rated PG and runs about 78 minutes.  This move features the voices of Glee's Jane Lynch and is nominated for the Robert Award of Best Children/family film of 2012.  In the film, viewers learn that it's not easy being a lowly earthworm.  Gloria and Barry live at the bottom of the food chain.  But one day an old disco record turns Barry's life upside down as he decides to make the worlds' greatest disco band.  Gloria Joins in on the fun and rises to stardom as a singing sensation.  They have no arms and no rhythm, but earthworms can boogie too!  My Review: I truly enjoyed this animated kids movie.  I don't ever recall watching a movie that star worms for characters.  Who would have ever thought a worm being so vibrant when they don't have feet or arms.  The movement of the worms wa...
