I know....but I have to vent or rant or complain!

I usually try to keep my blog on a positive side but I was at the pool the last two days and the same thing bothered me both days.  I know patience and love but I just want to hear your thoughts on this too....no arguing, clean comments!

So what is it that I have been seeing that is driving me bonkers???

Teenage girls holding hands with teenage girls.  It is cute to see little 5 year olds hold hands with friends but then to see teenagers hold hands.  It is also not just holding a hand it is weaving the fingers type of holding hand (the more intimate kind).   Then I saw one girl hugging and rubbing another girls tummy.  It was not just two girls that I saw doing this it was about 6 different girls through out the last two days.  It is quite obvious that they are not homosexual but in their minds they have been taught tolerance and they are wanting to get the boys attention.  HELLO you are wearing a bikini... you have their attention.  I mean I definitely would rather see a boy and girl showing some PDA then this junk.

I guess from my "mommy" perspective is I do not want my daughter to act in that manner.  I want her to know she is a princess and God is her daddy.  I do not want the world to teach her some of this junk.   AGGGGHHHH!!!!!

Ok that is all!  I am done venting!

All you can really do is lean on God and do your best to raise your child in the truth. Get all the support you can from Christian friends and family. Plus some of your blog followers like me will pray for you. We live in really dark times but you aren't alone and and God is with us.

Oh, I don't know. I guess in my case, I wouldn't be bothered by this. It may catch my attention but I won't be bothered. Some teenage girls develop sweet and affectionate relatioship with their girlfriends and I see nothing wrong with that. There's probably something wrong with me but I just think that people may tend to put a lot of malice on other people's actions. See, in some places, breastfeeding in public is seen as public nudity or breastfeeding a 2yr old son is seens as icky or sick. But your reaction is ok especially if you are not used to seeing these acts and that you are not raised to do so. And don't worry, with your guidance and prayers, your daughter will be raised according to His will :)

I think you hit it right on the head when you say they have been taught tolerance. I believe in some cases society teaches WAY to much tolerance of certain things. It's not PC to say something is wrong, but there are still lines that need to be drawn. I think that they are not just trying to get attention of boys, but they have been taught love=touching. Love is not an emotion its a feeling (I mean that as love being the physical emotion instead of a more appropiate all encompasing kind of love). Kids are taught to find love where it feels good. Instead of love being a close friendship with a girlfriend (as in just friend!) where you talk and hangout, it is taught that you need to "feel good" ie handholding, cuddling etc. I dont think they are doing it in a dirty way, or are thinking about taking it further, but the reality is they are seeking love in a physical sense instead of filling that need with God and saving the intimacy of physical love with a boyfriend and later husband. Hopefully that makes sense? Thats just how I see it.

There are a lot of "misguided" teenagers now but there are still a few good ones and I noticed that it all boils down to one thing - it will all depend on how the parents raise their child. You are a good Mom and I know that you will be able to raise your kids wonderfully and God is always there to support you as well. Just keep on praying and you have our support as well. :)

♥hugs and be safe♥

I don't even know what to say. That would freak me out - and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't return. Which, of course, wouldn't be fair to my kids. Sigh. It's not easy being a grownup.
Thanks for the encouragement ladies!!! :)

Praying praying praying!

Aurie- we will be returning since we bought a summer pass and I want to get our money worth. I will just have to reinforce many lessons with my daughter about love etc etc. :)

Interesting post - I've never seen this before and I'm not sure how I'd react if I did!

Just stopped by from a Tuesday blog hop. I couldn't leave a comment on your giveaway post as I'm not in the USA, shame - nice giveaway! Would love to do something so fancy with my photos!
I’m following you now and hope you’ll stop by my blog sometime too! Have a lovely week.

Dry Idea: Deodorant Review and Giveaway

I know most of you know I was at kids camp last week and I think I mentioned the humidity and heat that we had that week!  I was daring as I only brought my new Dry Idea  deodorant  that I had never used prior.  I had no idea if it was going to keep me from smelling like B.O or if I was going to have sweaty pits. So how did the Dry Idea hold up to the hot and humid days at kids camp???  Arms raised high during worship in the morning and in the evening!  :)  I was dry and I did not stink!  :) WOOT WOOT!  I had the unscented brand and I usually do prefer a pretty scent but it worked and they do have scents which include powder fresh and cotton dry that I might try in the future.  :) The Dry Idea Roll-On is 24 hour protection, fast drying MicroCotton Formula, hypo allergenic, and contains Vitamin E.  :) Don't like roll on's??  They do offer Clear Gel and an Invisible Solid.  :) Dry Idea provided a free sample of their Advanced Dry roll-On so I could review them.  However,
