Faster Food! Cutting Down On Your Time In The Kitchen

There are so many temptations in the food world that can take us off the beaten track. The amount of junk food around means we can very easily go for a quick fix or easily purchase lots of those tempting chocolates by the cash register in the supermarkets. So, what's the solution to getting around this? We don't have much time to cook properly anymore. Life is too busy, and we're being pulled in millions of different directions, all at once. So we need to find a way to cut down our time in the kitchen, how do we do this? Well, we do the following… Plan! Plan! Plan! Pixabay Yes, it's a simple as that! You need to plan ahead for every meal, and this is the key to efficiency in the kitchen. The more food you have in the fridge at the beginning of the week, the less you will be inclined to pick up unhealthy takeaways and eat cookie after cookie. Before you go shopping, you need to make a list of the meals you are going to eat that week. That way you will know e...

Moving Towards Healthy!

I have officially lost about 7 pounds in 3 weeks!   I still have more I want to lose but my focus is not just skinny jeans it truly is a healthy body, soul, and mind.  I have been spending more time with Daddy God and seeking him in everything I do. I have been getting up earlier to get a good walk or run in.  I have been tracking everything I have been eating.  I have also been starting to learn to fast- like truly fast!    I also have been learning about my gut health.  I have been taking the Tri-Plex from Plexus for about three months!   It is helping me say no to some cravings, helping me hydrate, keeping me more alert and awake, and helping me sleep better. Please ask me any questions about Plexus !

Purple Potatoes

Why would April be posting this picture?  Well, many reasons actually!  First, I didn't even know there were purple potatoes, red yes, but when did purple happen?   Secondly, my husband has been doing some more cooking and this was a roast he made... which he also went to the store for and purchased these purple potatoes.   So I am so thankful and blessed to have a husband who will go get groceries anytime we need them, find new foods for us to try, and cook delicious foods!  So back to the purple potatoes... I think they have a more earthy taste and in a roast they are fantastic!   I think my husband found them in a package of small potatoes both purple and brown at Aldi's!

Woah Watermelon

Admit it, this is the biggest watermelon you have ever seen?  It was heavy and super red and delicious.  I brought it to our church potluck this weekend.  This huge watermelon was found at Aldi's and was only $5.49-Woot!

Strawberry Nibblers

I open the fridge and grab the strawberries and realized my two children were in my berries.  They had taken a nibble out of every single strawberry!  What little stinkers I have.  These were some really yummy strawberries and only .99 cents at Aldi's.  :)

Pizza Ranch Oops

We are enjoying a family weekend, for dinner last night we went to Pizza Ranch.  I have not been to one in years and this one in Iowa was very busy!   Source:  Uploaded by user  via  Amy  on  Pinteres Pizza Ranch is a christian establishment that plays christian music and likes to focus on nice customer service at a great family friendly establishment.   Last night as my family was eating we heard a waiter talking with another table.  We were sad as we over heard their conversation and swear words coming out of the servers mouth. Trust me we were not ease dropping... It was loud an most tables could probably hear it.  My husband thought he should say something to him. The server was apologetic and understanding that he is working in a family friendly environment and should watch his words more carefully.   I am glad my husband approached him in a caring manner.  We were not trying to be rude or judging...

Neater Feeder Review and Giveaway

I have two kids and one dog running around this house and before I had the Neater Feeder it was a common problem of spilled water and food on my kitchen floor from the dog dishes.  It was so annoying to be walking through and come out with wet socks from the spilled water.  I am so thrilled the problem has been avoided since we started using the Neater Feeder.  Thank you Neater Feeder for sending me this product to conduct my review.  All opinions expressed are my own and I was not paid for this review.   The Neater Feeder comes in two colors, cranberry or bronze.  Since I have a girl dog I went with the cranberry color, which also matches some of the decor in my kitchen.  As you can see from the image above they have the right size for your cat or dog. They also include leg extensions to raise it even more if needed.  I have had the Neater Feeder for several days and the system works great!  I love having a dry floor and I...
