Massdrop Giveaway Event- Keurig Giveaway

Praises of a Wife and Mommy Welcomes You to the Massdrop Giveaway Event Are you a coffee drinker?  I am!!  I might be a coffee snob because I add yummy flavors to my coffee and would never drink it black.  My husband can drink his coffee black.  My daughter and son love to make apple cider in the Keurig and I like tea too!  We love our Keurig maker!  Massdrop takes a group of people that each want to buy the same thing, combines their order, and places that order directly with the manufacturer. If you are interested in a product for a group buy you can start a poll to see how many people might be interested. When people vote on a poll, Massdrop calls the manufacturer and negotiates with them to get the group the best price possible. As a result, everybody in the group gets the large quantity price while only having to buy one, or however many you want. Of course, the larger the group the better price everyone will get!! Massdrop just had t...

Big Cookie Review and Giveaway

ABOUT BIG COOKIES:  HOMEMADE COOKIES FOR SALE—THE BRILLIANTLY BIG STORY Homemade cookies for sale by Big Cookie -- the story is like the taste sensation itself.   Unexpected.   Extraordinary. Decidedly decadent.  They were not concocted by a top chef, a culinary master or a famous bakery. Instead Big Cookies are the handiwork of a civil engineer named Aaron Brilliant — a guy who started baking on a dare, and became fascinated with figuring out how to perfect the right combination of ingredients and baking processes to create the ideal taste sensation. It all began a few years ago, when Aaron arrived at a Pot Luck dinner with store-bought cookies.   After being ridiculed for not bringing something homemade, he arrived at the next get together with a 30-pound vanilla cake he put together from scratch. The cake was so-so, but the process of making it kick-started Aaron’s engineering mind.   He was fascinated by figuring out how ingredien...

March was Maple Syrup Month

The maple tree's in Wisconsin are not quite flowing yet due to the cooler spring temperatures.  Soon very soon I do hope the temperatures adjust to normal as we watch the snow disappear and can enjoy the fresh maple syrup.   Dr. Lucy's Cookies are amazing and celebrating Maple Syrup month with Maple Bliss cookies was priceless.   Here are some fun facts and statistics about maple syrup • Maple syrup is produced from the sap collected from the Sugar Maple tree • Sugar Maple trees are grown in the northern states of the US and in Canada • It takes 30-50 gallons of sap to make one gallon of maple syrup • Usually a maple tree is at least 30 years old and 12 inches in diameter before it is tapped • Maple sap is clear, watery and contains only 2-4% sugar.  • The season for tapping the trees begins in late February and runs through March  • The sap begins to flow when temperatures begin to rise above freezing during the da...

Win some Sweet Andy's Cookies

A big thank you to Andy who sent me some amazing cookies to try to conduct my review.  :)  All opinions expressed are 100 % mine and I was not paid for this review.   About Sweet Andy's Cookies: The “Thank You” Cookie In 2009, Andrew (Sweet Andy) found himself in a position like so many others at that time in our past; the economy was quickly spiraling downward and he had left his job in the financial services industry. Although Andy had an MBA in Banking and Finance and had even written a book entitled, “A Guide to Taking Control of Your Investments”, he found himself to be disenchanted with the financial industry and left to pursue “other work.”  The “other work” that Andrew pursued was with the Church and did not provide financial support for the family.  During this time Andy and his wife, Lissa, struggled to find other forms of income. They did what they could for themselves and their five children but often it was not enough. But there were...

Toddler Joy

I love how happy toddlers can get from something so simple, like a cupcake.   :)  We made some tasty Valentine Cupcakes this week and when I mentioned snack and cupcakes they were so wiggly in their seats.  They may have only eaten the frosting off their cupcakes but what adorable smiles and fun excitement these two boys showed me.  :)

Easy Lunch...or Breakfast

It's amazing how a bagel can turn into something more amazing.  :)  I have an onion bagel with some egg, pastrami, and cheese.   The combination was tasty!

Last chance summer treats!

I am still trying to hold on to summer for as long as I can.  So we froze some lemonade and then we poured some strawberry daiquiri  juice on it (without the alcohol)!  It was a tasty treat!
