Awana Award Night

My daughter just finished her 2nd year of AWANA.  She has such a fun time each week going and looks forward to it every week.  I love how much of the Word of God she has memorized and I love how excited she it to memorize it.  :) We sure are blessed with great adults who like to work with children in our church.  :)  If  you see her cute blue vest it has a lot of patches from finishing her work but this mom fell a bit behind on sewing them on...oops!  Her vest should be 100% full!  :)  :)

My AWANA message

Here are my notes and illustrations I used to share the Gospel with the kids at AWANA tonight. Power in our TONGUE Today I want to share a little bit about our tongue’s- our words (small part of the body) ESV  Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. If you speak life= good things, Godly things, encouragement you will see good fruits if you speak death= bad things, tear downs, hurtful, pain, enemy, fire and you will then see bad fruits Today what came out of your mouth?  Did you say anything hurtful to anyone even if it was behind there back.  (oh my did you see the shirt he was wearing?  Oh hahaha she just fell after slipping on that food.   I am not sitting by her.  He is gross.)   Think about it.... How about LIFE Did you encourage anyone today, give help, or pray for someone?  (You did a really good job running in gym today,  I really loved your a...

Awana

My daughter was so excited that Awana was starting back up.  She is one of the cutest Cubbies ever... Yep I am biased!  LOL We are looking forward to her memorizing the word of God but also growing in a deeper relationship with Jesus and a desire to continue to read his word and memorize scripture. I highly recommend any parent to find an Awana program near you.  Trust me the benefits for your child are amazing but many benefits for you as a parent also.

Awana Cubbie song

Our Awana year is ending this week and my daughter had a great first year in Awana.  We just had an Awana Sunday and my daughter recited the Cubbie motto infront of the congregation and she did awesome singing the Cubbie song.  :) Here she is (yes in the bath tub) singing her Awana theme song!  :)  She is a great singer!

Happy Valentines Day

My daughter picked out her Valentines and we filled them out yesterday and this morning.  She goes to Awana on Thursdays so she really wanted to give Valentines to her classmates. :) So the rest of the day I will be hearing "is it time to go to Awana yet?" I also saw a cute idea at Money Saving Mom  the other day so we had to try it ourselves.  After nap time yesterday my daughter and I made play-dough.  It was a lot of fun and today we packaged them up for her Awana classmates.  I think they turned out really well.  I was also very excited about the verse the kids are memorizing this week Jeremiah 31:3 " I have loved you with and everlasting love."  It worked perfect for Valentines Day.   Here are some pictures of our Valentines: A couple weeks ago we also did some painting of hearts.  Here are the pictures of them: This is shaving cream with a little paint.  My 3 year old had a lot of fun.

Awana Night

Mentioned before that Thursday night is AWANA night for this family!  (Approved workmen are not ashamed).  If you have not heard of AWANA they have a great website HERE . My daughter is a cubby bear, my husband is the game director, and I am in charge of the T&T Challenge group (5th and 6th graders).  My daughter considers AWANA her school and I am a proud mama who loves seeing her grow in love with CHRIST. Tonight was a fun night as I was the one who brought the mini message for large group time.  I enjoyed it and was so excited that I decided to ask clubbers if they could finish some of the verses I was using in the message.  Those kids were awesome, they knew the verse so quickly.  GREAT JOB CLUBBERS!!   It was also a neat night because our theme was "Life Savior"  so my message was about "JESUS ONE WAY."  I had the privileged to teach a salvation message!  HOW NEAT!! Overall I am thankful that our church offers ...
