A Mothers's Heart

I know one prayer I have often for my children is for their future spouse.  I know the person that my son or daughter will marry is a women or man that will be in love with Jesus.  Today on facebook I saw a post that some of you might have seen on my page.  It said, "A women's heart should be so hidden in God, that a man has to seek Him to find her."  Go check out the picture HERE !   It really got me thinking about my prayers for my children and how I can make sure my daughter but also my son are keeping their relationship with God a top priority all throughout their life.  Since my husband and I are youth pastors we see many times the teen age relationships that fall apart but also see the students relationship with Jesus suffer as well.  It is a burden on my heart for my children to make sure I teach, nurture, and model a relationship with Jesus as a number 1 priority! How do you teach your children to put Jesus at the top of the Priority ...

John 14:13

My husband created this image for his message last weekend.  I love it!

We are sailing with JESUS...Are you?

Matthew 8:23-27 Jesus Calms the Storm   23   Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him.   24   Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.   25   The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”   26  He replied,  “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?”  Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.   27  The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

Jesus Toaster??

So I heard on the radio about a Jesus Toaster so I had to google it and see what they were talking about. It makes me giggle!  It is kinda a cute idea but really people if you know Jesus then you know his spirit is already inside of you!  :) Maybe this would provide a great morning reminder for some like putting on the armor of God but rather eating Jesus to remind you he is in you?  Check out the video:  Thoughts or opinions?

Joy joy joy

I am having one of those moments where I having a low moment facing a ton of discouragement and frustration.   Some of it so silly and some of it is understandable to be discouraged, but most of it still is my hormones!  I am waiting and expecting a new Joy... I know it is coming!  I know that God is about to do something big in my life and I will continue to have faith in this moment of frustration.  Pray for me!   You have put more joy and rejoicing in my heart than [they know] when their wheat and new wine have yielded abundantly. Psalm 4:7 Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice! Philippians 4:4      But let all those who take refuge and put their trust in You rejoice; let them ever sing and shout for joy, because You make a covering over them and defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You and be in high spirits.  Psalm 5:11 The Lord your God is in the mids...

She was caught doing this...

It was so adorable!!!  I had just finished tucking my sweet 3 year old daughter in bed and only a couple minutes later I could here her singing.  She was not just singing but singing in her fan so her voice sounded all goofy and funny.  So I listened for a minute and I hear her giggling and singing "Jesus i will love you forever...oh yay Jesus I love you."  So I started to walk in her room and she screams and runs to her bed as she knows she is not suppose to be out of her bed and says "mom you scared me."   I love hearing my daughter declaring how much she loves Jesus!  :)
