Prayer- Power and Honor

In prayer we honor God in relationship, and then in power we honor His revealed vision and shared dreams. Today we take a look at Hannah in 1 Samuel 1 If you listened to the message above then you just heard my husbands message on Mother's Day at our new church in Iowa.   “I remember my mother’s prayers, they have always followed me. they have  clung to me all my life.” ~ Abraham Lincoln Prayer is awesome and I am thankful for each prayer my other prayed when she was alive. I have been blessed to find some prayers for me that she wrote in her bible.  :)  I think she knew I would marry a preacher!!!  :)    AMEN- God wants to honor you!  :) In prayer we honor God in relationship, and then in power we Honor  His revealed vision and shared dreams. Three things happen when we approach God. 1. We are ruined. But you can't stay there 2. We are cleansed and qualified. But you can't be afraid to mess up 3...

Praying for Boston

Today was a day that I wish ended before it started!  First the little boy I watch fell and got the biggest goose egg I have ever seen!!  :(  I hate when kids get hurt and I dislike when they are not my kids and they are under my supervision.  Plus the incident happened while we were out and about so it was stressful to say the least.   Then to hear about Boston and worry about a few people that I knew were there!  I am so thankful they are all fine and had already finished the race!  So with all this stress, frustration, and broken heart I just have to PRAY!   Please join me in prayer! Papa God, Please comfort the broken heart-ed tonight.  Cover them with your peace.  I pray for the survivors still at the hospital- please guide the doctors and nurses and bring healing to those bodies.  Thank-you for my friends who are safe!!  Please guide and help the investigation of this crime.  I pray that this nation would o...

Praise God

Source: Uploaded by user via Sierra   WOOT!  It has been a strange couple days with a nervous tummy since the father of the boy I watch was undergoing open heart triple bypass surgery today.   Some of you might have seen my prayer request on my facebook site and I thank each of you who prayed.  His surgery went great!  PRAISE GOD!  I have no idea why I had that silly nervous tummy!   I do want you all to keep praying for him and his family.  He still has recovery and is still battling lymphoma.  I am so thankful we serve a might and healing God and I am seeking that full force for this man.  His son deserves his daddy to be healthy.  AMEN It has been ages since I have done a Thankful post so let me just list off a few more things I am thankful for!   1. Opportunities, God keeps sending me new opportunities and it can be exciting and frightening but I know we are following HIS plans.  ...

Prayer

AMEN and AMEN !

Pray for my Dad- Because PRAYER WORKS!

I would love if I could have as many people as possible say a prayer for my dad today.  He is going in for surgery and the procedure should start at about 10:30. Why is he having surgery?   Well, he went in a couple weeks ago for his colonoscopy and he has had several but the previous one looked good so they said he could wait 3 years. has So we went in and they removed a few polyps but then they found one that was very large and the were not able to get it so they needed to go in and remove it. He will be in the hospital for at least 4 days and then staying home from work for 4 weeks.  He said he was only a little bit nervous and my daughter and I prayed with him over the phone.  He requested me not to come visit him while he is in the hospital.  So I will be nice and allow it as long as everything goes smoothly tomorrow. Please agree with me in prayer that the doctor's and nurses will work skillfully and efficiently, the test results will be good, recove...

Pray for me Monday

So I think the biggest thing I could use prayer for this week is HEALING.   Healing for my body from surgery (c-section)  The incision is still very tender.  Also, the breast tenderness and any other things that come along with giving birth.   Along with my body I also need healing emotionally from having a c section... I really did not want to have a c-section and I have had several emotions/pain.   Also rest, as a mom to a 3.5 year old and a newborn I need the best rest I can get.   And lastly, my family.  We are all adjusting to baby boy!   THANKS for your prayers!

Winter Camp...prayer requests :)

Well blog followers I will be out of town until Sunday evening!   I will have to write a nice big post on Sunday night to let you hear all about the fun we had with our Fuse youth group at winter camp.  :)  Pray for me to stay energized with these teens while being 8 months pregnant!   Also pray for my daughter as she is not coming with and will be with Pastor and his wife.  She is actually very excited and has been waiting to play with the 3 dogs they have.  She wont miss me at all but I know I will miss her.... I always do.  Also pray for God to do a mighty work in all of our lives there.  I know God has huge plans for each student who is going so please lift them all up in prayer!  Also for the safety of everyone too as every year they play broom ball, tubing, skating, etc etc! Waiting and expecting to see GOD MOVE this weekend!  YAYAY!!!!  So excited! Have a great weekend!
