Fancy Nancy Party

If you have a little girl then I am willing to bet you have heard of Fancy Nancy.  If not then you need to head to your library and check out some Fancy Nancy Books.   A big thank-you to the Orb Factory  for supplying Fancy Nancy Crowns and activities for those stunning girls above.   During spring break our family had no plans for travel but I wanted my daughter to have some fun on her long week off of school.   We had 8 girls over and we had a blast.  We read several Fancy Nancy stories, danced, created our crowns, and created a little jeweled Fancy Nancy accessory.   The crowns were fantastic and easy to created.  If you have younger girls they will need more assistance at pulling off the gems and jewels and help with the color coding.   I hope my daughter remembers the fun day we had with her friends.  It might have been an exhausting event for this mom but it was well worth it after hearing my daughter tal...

Happy 2nd Birthday Little Man

What a fun celebration we had this weekend to celebrate my little 2 year old!  It's sad to admit my baby is truly a big boy now!  We are on our way to potty training, more talking, and more fun!   HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! This year we had a ball themed party.  It fit perfect for my little pitcher, he loves throwing balls!   As you can see we had a ball pit cake and cupcakes, and little ball pit bars to hand the kids as they were leaving to say "thanks for coming"  and "Hope you had a ball."   I will admit the cake was kinda messy.  It was stuck in the pan and I had a terrible time trying to frost it.  :(  I made it look as best as I could.   I used gumballs in the cake and the cupcakes had either gumballs or Trix cereal.  I also used the Trix cereal to created Marshmallow treats that looked like a ball pit.  They were yummy!  :)  The games were my favorite part!  We had a lot of...

Day 21: Hand on Play- Have a Party!!

Day 21: Have a Party!   Play prompt: Have a spontaneous party for no reason at all! It could be a  teddy bear's picnic  with a toy tea set and imaginary food. Invite all your child's favourite toys, make some invitations, set out the places, turn on the music and enjoy! Or find some left over party plates and napkins and spread them out on the floor (or in the garden) and serve up some  real food and drink! The first thing we decided we needed to have a party was some yummy brownies!  So our day started in the kitchen!  Since we were doing some Christmas pictures my daughter was able to get her hair done all pretty which went well with our party theme!  Look at her beautiful curls and braids!  She sat very nice to get her hair done... I have noticed that when someone else does her hair she is perfect but when I do her hair she whines and cries and claims I hurt her all the time when I am being gentle.  Anyone else have that issue?...
