Praises of a Wife and Mommy

Well, we caught a flight right as schools started to announce they were closing till April 13th... Here I write this weeks later and we will not be returning to school this year.    This trip was all about relaxation and enjoying our friends whom we miss dearly.   With the covid-19 scare we didn't go do any tourist things.   We enjoyed their retirement community and went to the pool a lot and took nice walks on the trails.  It was perfect.   WE were blessed to have a fun little trip!  

Well, who would have thought that this big sculpture garden was only about an hour from my dad's house! When we first got there I didn't think we would have as much fun as we did but there was so much more at the park.   It's like every turn you never knew what you would find.     This was a tall sculpture of boom boxes.   LOL, my kids did know what it was so that was good!   I really liked this mirror image thing!    There is even playground stuff for your kids to climb and play on.   This was one of my favorites.  It was so beautiful!  This play structure was pretty and like a maze!  If you're ever in Minnesota look for this sculpture garden...only about an hour north of St.Paul/Woodbury area!

Have you ever taken a vacation over Christmas instead of doing a traditional Christmas at home?  I am more of a traditional person and love to be at home in the warm comfy house with snow falling outside.  I always think of Christmas as home time with an overcrowded room with all my loved ones.   How would you describe your perfect Christmas day?  The more I look into vacations the more I want to travel to  Poconos Family Resorts .  I will still remain firm though and not look into doing it over Christmas.  Maybe I am too traditional?  It seems too odd for me to be eating out, going to a spa, amusement park, or fun shopping.  Although the Poconos Family Resort has this cute option for kids to visit a kid spa and I know my daughter would absolutely love this.   I guess Christmas day does not have to be celebrated on Christmas day.  For instance we travel to my dad's house over New Years weekend and celebrate with my family on N...

Have you ever used your tax return to take a family vacation?  Traveling with little ones can be frightening and expensive but it can be done and one of these years I think we will use our tax return to have some family fun.   We do take vacations here and there but I am talking a full week or even two with no worries about how much you spend on eating and fun.  :)   When I was a child I always wanted to go on a Disney vacation but we never had the funds to it.  I would love to change that and take my children some day.  I think it is possible with Disney vacation specials that occur year round.  It is nice to find packaged vacation deals that are all inclusive so there is no worries about food!  Disney vacation specials offer many different opportunities for fun.  I think my two children would have a great time dining with some Disney Characters.  I could see my daughter's huge smile if a princess would come and sit down while s...
