Another Birth Story... with a FIRE ALARM!

It is time to read a birth story from I am not Superwoman!  This is a great story but make sure to visit her site too click here .   As the saying goes, time flies when you are having fun...Well lets just say the time is about 9 or so months ago...and there I lay, in all my glory, on a steel table with tons of lights shining on me...Ready to meet the newest addition to our family...And lo and behold....the fire alarm goes off.... Time Flies Not once... Not twice... But three times within about a 10 minute time period as I was getting prepped for my Cesarean section in the Operating Room. As I laid there, I contemplated what I could do, which after much thought and consideration was pretty much nothing since I was NUMB from the belly down...Hello!  In all of my grogginess, I looked over at the staff nurse and said, "Should we be concerned?"   She assured me that it was a drill and that everything was ok but of course with it happening 3...

Another GREAT birth story! Come READ!!

I am excited to have a guest post from: Make sure you check her blog out!  I LOVE HER BLOG!   My birth story could probably take about two hours for me to tell, because I like to give every last detail. I'll do my best not to take that long! :) My first daughter Constance Elizabeth was born when I was 39 weeks pregnant. My husband Joshua had been scheduled for mandatory overtime, which meant he had to go in at 3 in the morning that day. I had my first contraction a little bit after he left for work, but I just told myself it was braxton hicks. My doctor had stripped my membranes the day before, so while I knew labor was a possibility, I guess I just didn't really think it would work for me. I began to drift off to sleep that morning as I felt another contraction, but I still told myself that it was no big deal. Five minutes later I had another one. They began to feel worse and worse as the end of the five minutes would arrive and I'd find myself trying to keep myself...

Time to meet a mom and how she gave birth in a car!!!

It is time to meet LaToya from Christian-Momma blog .  Take some time to visit her and let her know you read her story.  I am wondering if anyone had a similar experience as her???  Did you not make it to the hospital to have your baby and have it in the car?  Or did you get your placenta ripped out???  This is the first story from LaToya and I will have another one from her in a couple more days... a completely better experience the 2nd time around!  :) My first pregnancy was very exciting and exhausting. I was sick from the start almost to the finish. I was  always thirsty and rarely hungry. When I was hungry it was for Taco Bell and KFC. It was a good day if  I managed to get half a meal down. When I hit about month 5.5 things turned around and I was able  to eat anything I wanted and what I wanted was oatmeal raisin cookies and Hagen Daas Strawberry ice  cream. For the first few months of my pregnancy I was in a new state, thous...

Meet a mom and hear about giving birth to her daughter! :)

As mentioned last week I will be featuring some mom's and their birthing stories!  I am excited to announce, Stacie, from Love you Always and Forever .  Enjoy the picture and the story... IT'S A GREAT ONE!!! Addison Marie July 15, 2010 6pm Weight: 8 Pounds 10 Ounces Length: 20 Inches Lots of Blonde Hair I worked the night of July 14th from 11pm-7am. That night I was losing what I figured was part of my mucus plug off and on all night. I was also having a few contractions here and there but they were nothing significant or cause for worry. I was 38 weeks 4 days on Thursday July 15th. That morning like anyother morning that I worked I finished at 7am and went home to be with the boys while Jason went to work. I came home and got the boys breakfast and laid down on the couch. I noticed I was more tired that usual so I fell asleep pretty quick on the couch. At around 10:15am I was awoken to a very painful contraction. I sat up and breathed through it and decided mayb...

My first baby story...

Well I have asked if anyone wanted to share their birth story on my blog and be guest blogger and I have had a few respond!  :)  YAY!!  So in due time you will get to hear other mom's stories... are you as excited as me?? Before we get to my guests...coming in the future... I want to share my story about my daughter! Lets start right at the beginning!  My hubby and I got married in June of 2006, I started my full time teaching job in August of 2006 and I thought the goal was to wait on kids but we found out March of 2007 that we were expecting!  I was in shock but very excited at the same time... along with being overly nervous!  When I found out I was pregnant I was already about 8 weeks along, you see I had a very irregular period so I thought it was late because of stress at work. With my daughter I had a very enjoyable pregnancy with 0 complications!  I only had a teeny tiny bit of morning sickness and threw up only a couple times.  :) ...
