$30 T.V. Console Stand D.I.Y. I have a talent! I have the gift of asking my husband to make me stuff. My sister also asks him to make her stuff too. This was just one of those things. A new coffee table from an old bathroom vanity.  Here is the Bathroom Vanity we bought from the Habitat for Humanity Re-store for $15. Four things led us to pick this vanity to upcycle for this D.I.Y. TV Table: Price, Storage, Cool old hardware, and lastly but most importantly - it was topless! First thing we needed to do was take the hardware off. usually, all you'll need is a flat head screw driver to remove the bolts. The next thing we needed to do was get rid of the ugly water damaged bottom of the cabinet. It was covered by some thick and super sticky glue from a rubber bumper that must have been there. We had some scrap cedar planks laying around so we used those for FREE! Flip the table upside down and mark it with a marker Cut with a circular saw ...

DIY Refurbished Folding Chairs

Before After When we moved I found these three old and rusty folding chairs in my shed.  I immediately thought this is going to make a fun project!  I love DIY projects!!  Although my DIY projects usually require me asking my husband a lot of questions  and for his help.  ;)  I love his patience for me.  :) So here is the quick and easy steps to turning your old and drab folding chairs into new, fresh, and welcoming chairs.   Supplies you will need: Steel Wool Primer spray paint (prevent rust) Spray paint- Pick a pretty color Stencil for embellishment After you gather all your supplies (I found mine at Wal-Mart and total cost per chair was only $4)  grab the steel wool and put a little elbow grease into and get it as clean as you can.  My chairs had some dried paint and lots of rust.   Once you have finished with the steel wool next grab your can of primer spray paint.  Be su...

DIY Projects

Raise your hand if you are addicted to Pintrest?  Have you pinned a million Do-It-Yourself projects that you hope can be completed in the near future?   The ideas are great and plentiful so it's easy to store up for a rainy day.   The best advice I can give you is to pick a certain topic and truly learn the art of it and then do it well!   One thing I would like to learn how to create is jewelry.  There are some amazing DIY Jewelry pins and video tutorials out there.  Look at all the ideas on cleanjewelry.com  I really love the Coral Statement necklace, how beautiful! My daughter and I did get a little creative in our Christmas gifts last year with our homemade bead necklaces we made for family, but I think I'm ready for bigger and shinier and wearable fun jewelry.  They even have a video tutorial on the site but what is even more cool is I found that there is a monthly subscription!!  Yes, a DIY Jewelry Kit tha...

DIY- Valentines Decorations

Happy Valentines Day!!! Are you the type of person who loves to decorate for every holiday?  Then this is a great idea that will save you money!  This is a simple Do It Yourself idea to create great Valentines Decorations.   All you need: Cardboard  Yarn Yep only 2 things!  Simply cut the patter you want out of the cardboard and then wrap it with yarn.  I like to wrap the yarn in all different directions to make it more textured.  You may like a more clean crisp look and then you will have to wrap very carefully.  Either way it does not take too much of you time and is very affordable and looks great in the window, staircase, or any other place you keep decorations.
