My husband is a youth pastor so we are around teens a lot. I love each and everyone of them and hope they realize they have a GOD given purpose in life. I just find it staggering that SUICIDE is the 3rd leading cause of death among 15-24 year olds! WHAT!!! As a youth worker the last 5 years I have seen first hand many teens struggle with suicidal thoughts and low self worth. It breaks my heart. I just want to stomp and shout at the enemies lies that he is telling our teens. IT IS OUR JOB TO ENSURE AND ENCOURAGE THESE TEENS! Help them to gain a new identity in CHRIST JESUS! A few more shocking stats: -for every suicide completion there are between 100-200 attempts. - 15% of high-school students report suicide ideation! This is out of control!!
