Chalk Fest 2012

One of my favorite things each summer is Chalk Fest!  Not because I am an artist and I participate.  I am a spectator that truly enjoys the talents of many!  :)  I do think my husband should do this next year!  I know he is a great artist...he might be a little rusty so I got to get him back into some painting, drawing, etc etc.  :)  This year our favorite was a "Brave" creation that was done by 3 females.  I had a chance to speak with them and they are not art majors but they did such a wonderful job.  They even had made their t-shirts and I told them they should make some kid sizes as I would have bought one for my daughter.  :)   GOOD JOB ARTISTS!!   Check out 2011 Art: Where the Wild Things Are Baby Tangled Bambi

Very Cool!

Alice in Wonderland!  I have not watched this movie with my daughter yet.  I am not a big fan of this movie but this artist did a great job.

Where the Wild Things Are!!!  I have not seen the movie yet but I plan too.  I love how this artist added so much color.  She was still not done so I never saw the finished product.

We are going on a picnic today so I thought this chalk drawing fit the theme of the day.  :)  I believe that this was done by a young man name Brice.

Oh to be a baby and sleep anywhere.  LOL!  I thought this was adorable...makes me want to find a big watermelon and get my sons picture on it.  :)

We love giraffes in this family.  I remember when Selah was only about 18 months old and she just stared and stared at the giraffes.  She was memorized.  We love The New Zoo in Green Bay because you get to feed the giraffes.  You are right up in their faces and can pet them and see their black tongues and it only cots $1.00 to buy the wafer to feed them. :)  Love the affection captured in this drawing.  :)  Here is Selah at 18 months old staring at her favorite animal.  :)

UP!!  My daughter saw this and said "THAT was the funniest movie I ever seen. Mommy that was the coolest movie I ever seen."  It was a very cute movie but  more importantly I was impressed with this chalk drawing.  It was just jumping off the sidewalk.  I love the colors and how life like it looked.  :)

Despicable Me was my daughter's first movie at the movie theatre last summer when we were on vacation in New York.  :)  We thought the movie was great!  I think this artist did a great job of capturing the fun Minion.  :)

This was done by 2 people and they signed the bottom of it... All I can say is "WOW!"

Chalk Fest 2011

It was yet again jaw dropping talent this year at the annual chalk fest. I think over the next couple weeks I will post a picture from the event and make it fun for a couple weeks.  :)  I am going to start with my favorite one.   I found it odd that my favorite picture this year was a black and white one.  It was amazing to see the details in the baby and hand.  The girls in the picture are the artists...at a whopping 15 and 16 years old.  :) BIG TALENT!  GOOD JOB GIRLS!   Again, this chalk drawing was done by a 15 and 16 year old!   Look for more pictures through out the next couple weeks!  :)  Don't forget to enter my giveaway!
