I Love You "Sew" Much

This "I love you sew much" project is perfect for Valentines Day, Father's Day, or Birthday.   It was my daddy's birthday so we created this craft special just for him! To do this we needed: -2 sheets of construction paper- 2 different colors -glue -yarn -hole punch I drew a heart and punch some holes in it and had my daughter glue it on the construction paper.   Then I gave her some yarn and she had fun lacing the heart through.   My daughter traced over my letters and we added a few heart stickers.  :)  Daddy loved it and I am sure any grandparent, aunt, uncle, or teacher would appreciated this special gift.

Non spooky spider web

The first thing I did was add a few drops of dye to some glue to make really pretty glue.  :)  Very simple and inexpensive.     The first thing we made were some colorful spider webs.                                                                 Good Job, Selah! This was my example.    After the web's we did some more fun ones.   My hubby found  HELLO KITTY... Do you see her?  HOW COOL!  :)

I want candy... Cotton Candy (craft/card)

I am a huge fan of cotton candy.  I know I'm an adult but I get excited just like a lil kid in a candy store when I know we are going to a fair because there will be cotton candy there.  I always have to talk my hubby into letting me get some.  :)   Well we did not actually have real cotton candy so I told my daughter we could make "pretend cotton candy."  She was confused but then realized we could make a craft and had a fun time creating this project. The project was very simple but yet fun.  All you need is toilet paper tube, cotton balls, glue, h20 food coloring mixture in a spray bottle.    Stretching and gluing on the cotton balls... it looks so much like cotton candy.  Had to reinforce that we could not eat this because we were just pretending.   There her tongue is out again.  Here we are adding our color to the cotton to make it look like tasty cotton candy.   Yummy... really wish I had the real stuff...

Noodle Necklace

Our first project with the dyed noodles were of course noodle necklaces.  My daughter is at the age where she is always sneaking into my jewelry box to wear something "pretty".  So a necklace for her is due.   I can not remember if we have practiced any lacing activities before but Selah was a pro!  :)  Thanks to Rissa for helping her learn how to lace.  :)   Oh you three are so beautiful sporting your noodle necklace!

Sticker fun with coloring.

We decided to have some fun with stickers and color crayons.  I still have my sticker collection from when I was a kid and  it is a ton of fun to get them out and use them.  I am not joking when I say I have thousands of stickers.  :) We made some habitat scenes and then added the animal stickers.  It was fun talking about animals and their habitats.  :) We also had just recently visited the zoo so it tied into our zoo trip.  :)  Here she is working on our "zoo." We did this together... It is my favorite!  We had just visited the zoo so we drew one too.  :) Look at the nice walking path and the funny ostrich running across.    She got a little carried away with Dora and Diego stickers.  Cute non the less!  She also showed an interest in dinosaurs for the first time.  I would love to find the orginal movie "The Land Before Time."  Anyone remember that one?  SO CUTE We did this one together too. ...
