I was due on Thanksgiving; I was really hoping we would have Cora before then or on that date. I didn’t want to see anyone looking like the Thanksgiving turkey. Plus, I was uncomfortable, tired, swollen, and in pain, so I obviously just wanted her out. She decided to take her time, and on Monday, November 30 th I started having contractions. They weren’t bad yet, just like a really bad period, but I couldn’t sleep. I told my husband we might be going to the hospital that night. He said we should try to get some sleep, but I couldn’t sleep.
