Painted Bedroom Surprise!!!

Look how happy she is!!!  My husband and I decided to paint a couple stripes to add some color in her bedroom as part of her birthday present.  Today she left for school and we started the project.  :)   It was very fun watching her face when she walked into her room and saw the color.  SHE LOVED IT!!  She was jumping up and down in excitement!  :) :)   It took awhile to figure out what I wanted to do with her room.  I knew she wanted pink and purple but painting her whole room made me nervous as I did not want it to be too bright and feel smaller.  I LOVE THE STRIPES that we did instead!  :) It was quick and easy and much cheaper.  :)  Have you painted your kids room??

Pinkalicious Wands- With Discount Code

PINKALICIOUS!!!  Some of you read that and have no idea what it means and others with young daughters are nodding your head because you have a Pinktastic fan in your house.   This mom is starting to plan my little girls 5th birthday party!  5...how did that happen???  Since she loves all the Pinkalicious books we are doing a Pinkalicous theme party.  I was very excited to meet Natasha from, Natasha Crafts . She sent me enough wands for each little girl who comes to my daughters party.    We are reviewing the Pinkalicious party wands.  The party has not happened but my daughter is so excited for each of her friends to get a wand.  :)  We have decided that we are going to do a glitter station and let each friend glitter their wand.  :)  The wands were packaged safely and they shipped extremely FAST!  It was so nice to receive them so quickly even though we are waiting for the party in September.  The ...

Pinkalicious Date

The day finally arrived for Selah and I to go on our date together.  I bought Pinkalicious play tickets back in December so it seemed to take forever for the day to arrive.  We started out with lunch with her choice of McDonalds, big surprise, NOT!  :)  When we arrived I was excited because I knew I had purchased front row seats.  Then all of a sudden my daughter was acting scared so we walked to the bathroom and came back just as they were about to start and her fear erased and we had a fun date.  :) Selah and I in our seats right before the play started.  I was trying to calm her fears by using my phone as a distraction.  So glad she did not cry and did enjoy it!   Selah with some of the cast after the play!  :)  Her fear was all gone she  was excited to get her picture taken.   To top off the date we got to eat a Pinkalicious Cupcake!!  :)  ("But only one so we don't turn pink," Selah's words.)

Day 14 of hands on Play- Act out a story

DAY 14 CHALLENGE: ACT OUT A STORY  Today we're digging into your  imaginations  [as well as memory!]  and bringing a  story to real life! The story my daughter picked was "Pinkalicious and the Pink Drink."  Selah  received  this book as a birthday present from her Aunt and it is her new favorite.  (Her old favorite is "No David" and I am so thankful she did not pick that one!)  First the story starts will Pinkalicious looking in her piggy bank for money to buy gumballs.  She had no money so she came up with an idea to have a lemonade stand. Pinkalicious decides Pink Lemonade is the best choice and makes her version of Lemonade without her mom's help.  She adds watermelon, grapefruit, and purple beets to make it pink. She goes out to her Lemonade stand and starts selling!  Mr. Peabody comes over to buy a glass.   Sour face, "There is either too much of something or not enough of something else." ...

She loves "Pinkalicious"

My daughter got this book for her birthday from her aunt and she loves it!  Along with the book my sister bought her a set of 3 card games that are "Pinkalicious" themed but your typical Go Fish, Old Maid, and Slap Jack.  We have been playing a game almost daily and she can't get enough of it.   Tonight I found they had a website:  http://www.thinkpinkalicious.com/ .  There are several fun games, a way to order more books in the series, lesson ideas, Pinkalicious birthday or party ideas.  I think I will have an excited little girl tomorrow when I show her some of the games.  :)  I think I will use this as a good incentive!  :)
