Let's Dress Up and Go OUT!

We were invited to this surprise birthday party that required formal attire!   I have not dressed so fancy in what seems like ages so this was exciting and fun and makes me want to randomly plan more dates that "require" formal attire!  ;)   Our two church interns were also on this fun adventure with us!   We went from the surprise party to, a spoken word event, to TGIFriday's!  Group shot!!!  Yes, I am the short one!  He is all mine... and yes he did learn to tie a normal tie into a bow tie because my man can learn anything from a Youtube video.   They might only be friends but I hope they will be friends forever... and with us to.  I love and appreciate all these two do at our church and I don't think they hear it enough!  I LOVE THEM!!

What Every Mom Should Know about Infant Bedding

Moms around the world all want what’s best for their child and one of the main reasons why so many are focusing on sustainable products is to ensure that there is a beautiful world in their future. However, many don’t realize that it is a lot more basic than recycling and looking for BPA in tins containing food products. Did you know that the leading synthetic fibers on the market today are hazardous to your health ? Not only are these fibers unsafe for clothing, but should never be used in bedding either. Here are some facts that every mom should know about infant bedding. Unfortunately, most consumers aren’t aware of the fact that Polyester is absolutely the most hazardous material on the market and one that should never be in contact with a child’s skin, especially over extended periods of...

dōTERRA REVIEW

I was sent three products from  dōTERRA  which include Deep Blue Rub, On Guard Drops, and On Guard Throat Drops.  I received these products free of charge in exchange for an honest review.   The first product I was eager to try was the Deep Blue Rub.   Between my sore muscles from working out to my husbands off and on neck pain this was a grab all for us both. I first applied it to my husbands neck.   The smell was very similar to other muscle creams which is very minty but not to much that it feels like you can't breathe.  After applying it I did wash my hands but even after washing my hands I did notice 20 minutes later that my hands were tingly...even after washing them.   I was very pleased with this product and so was my husband!  Deep Blue Rub is a great product to use for any muscle ache or pain.   About Deep Blue:   The soothing combination of Wintergreen, Camphor, Peppermint, Bl...

Fancy Nancy Play

I love the theater! Plays and musicals were huge for me in high school.  I was in several plays including, Beauty and the Beast, Bye Bye Birdie , and Tina in Tony and Tina's Wedding . They were wonderful experiences and I still enjoy going to see plays!  This year my daughter and I went to see Fancy Nancy!   It was a one act show and it was fantastic.   We enjoyed the show with her girl scout troop!    We went to Circa 21 and I am excited to go back!   This theater is absolutely stunning!   The entire place is beautiful! The best part of the day was truly spending it with my daughter!   She is a delight and I love going to plays with her!

Book Review: "The Day is Waiting" written by Linda Zuckerman and Illustrated by Don Freeman

Don Freeman, the creator of  Corduroy , was one of the most beloved and popular author/illustrators of picture books for children. After Freeman’s death in 1978, colleagues and his wife decided to use his never before published artwork and make a commemorative book using his wonderful illustrations. Paired with Linda Zuckerman's thoughtful rhyming text,  The Day Is Waiting  takes readers on a tour of our big, wide world and reminds us that no matter how far we roam, we always have home to come back to. This classic tale is imbued with Freeman’s gentle humor, spontaneity, and his appreciation of the variety and complexity of human experiences, creating a book that children will enjoy reading again and again. My Review: This is a very simple book but yet can create a great discussion on places you wish to visit and dreams in general for life.    The pictures are simple and fun and there is rhyming throughout the text.  It is a good reminder to...
