Finding Your Escape

Life can get super hectic sometimes - seriously. Especially when you've got a life to lead in the workplace as well as kids to look after as and a relationship to keep healthy. That's just the things we have to do and the things we have and can plan for - other spontaneous life events can rear up for better or for worse. This is just a part of life and will only add to its hectic pace. There isn’t much you can do to stand in the way of the pace of modern family life at work and at home.

The home itself can be super hectic. We go there to escape the outside world and with frantic partners and hyper kids - the inner workings of a family home can be just as hectic as the outside world - on occasion. The home needs to be a place of relaxation, otherwise, it will lose a huge primary use. We need to be able to chill in the home and if we can't? Stress will only build up. You either need to make your home a place where you can escape from the outside world - or you need to find your own escape. Either way - you need to do something to ensure that stress doesn’t take over.
You don't need to be told this, surely - but stress is a killer. We feel stress because of our survival instincts. Stress fills our brain with worry and our body with adrenaline which leads to those anxious and nauseous feelings you may feel when stressed out. It also leads to other short-term woes like headaches and colds. Repeat stress is bad for the body - it's like flooding the engine of the car. Repeat stress can raise the blood pressure of your body, it can lead to stroke and it can cause heart disease as well as bring on a whole heap of other nasty ailments.

So how do you deal with stress? Well, we need to find our escape. A clean home is the first thing we can do and this helps our minds in many ways. A clean and organized environment lends itself well to a peaceful mind. Of course, this involves a fair bit of work which you might not feel like performing, but the results of it are worth it. Once the home is clean and a place we can chill in, we can start to escape easier. Sometimes, just sitting around in the relaxing environment of a clean home is enough. Sometimes, you need a hobby - joining a reading club like paperback swap could help and you can learn more about paperbackswap here. Hobbies are important as they keep the mind busy and productive. Finding your escape is about looking into your own interests and see what relaxes you most.
An escape? It could be sitting around, playing a guitar, reading, cooking or watching the TV - as long as you’re happy and take the time to decompress - anything can be an escape.

"The Reading Game" Review and Giveaway

Description: The first book in  The Reading Game  learn-to-read series tells the story of a skunk without a stripe who is rejected by the other skunks but finds acceptance among some cats and becomes their defender.  It’s told in rhyme, is beautifully illustrated, and is 32 pages long.  It will be the first book the student reads, and there are five more to follow in this groundbreaking learn to read program. Each of The Reading Game's six stories is told using just thirty new words.  These are broken down into six sets of five words.  The student learns to read each set of five words by playing a simple word matching game.  Frequent exposure through play hard wires these words into long-term memory.  Rote learning is transformed into a fast-paced game with a winner every few seconds. After completing Skunk, Game 1, the student has learned five words (can, cat, is, me, not).  Playing Game 2 adds an additional five w...

Common Mistakes Made When Writing a Will

Writing a will should, by all means, be a simple thing. You want to make sure that your assets are being left to your loved ones and that your final wishes are being fulfilled. Usually, they are rather straightforward, but that doesn’t mean that they are entirely foolproof. Here, we’re going to look at some common issues that can lead to disputes or delays in carrying out your will. Image - CC0 License Not Having It Witnessed Correctly One of the most common mistakes when writing a will is not having it witnessed correctly. Wills generally require the signatures of at least two witnesses who are not beneficiaries or spouses of beneficiaries. If the will is not witnessed in accordance with legal requirements, it may be declared invalid, meaning your estate would be distributed according to intestacy laws, which may not align with your wishes. It’s important to follow the witnessing procedures exactly as outlined in your jurisdiction to ensure the will is legally enforceable. Chan...
