Walgreens nightmare turned out great...

I was all ready to head out to Walgreen's today.  I had my coupons and I new I would make 3 transactions to get the best deals.

My first two transactions were great, no issues, but my 3rd one was terrible.   The cashier said my total was over $16 and I asked are you sure you got all my coupons and she assured me she did.  I paid then looked through my receipts.  I got 3RR for the Melatonin and 1RR for the sponge, but I never received my $5 for the four Dove products I purchased, in fact they rang up higher then the sale price of 4 for $15.  So I went back to the manager and she was trying to tell me that RR will not print if you use coupons... most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.  She made no sense at all since my purchase right before that I purchased two Advil products and used 2 $2 off coupons and still got $5 RR at the end of that purchase.   I still have no idea what that lady was trying to explain to me but she could tell I was not going to leave it until I was satisfied.  She try to ring up just my 4 products to give me the RR but it was not working.  She claimed it was an error with Dove.  So long story short I returned the 4 products.  My original receipt stated I payed the $16 (I bought a few other things and used  some RR on the purchase also.)  When the lady scanned my receipt and then the products I was refunded over $18.  I told the lady I used a couple coupons but she said the computer knows and it was fine, but  I was refunded over $18 and only spent $16 so i made $2 on returning the stuff???  I will take that deal!

So all in all with the frustrating parts I actually came out very good.  Today I purchased:
Reynolds tin foil
2 paper towels
Reeses Peanut butter cups
Arnicare cream
Advil Congestion
Advil pain relief
6- Valentines Cups
3-Jello's
3-sponges
Melatonin sleep aide

Here is a pic (missing is the Advil- pain relief, my hubby needed it at his office and sorry it is a dark pic)  Total out of pocket: 8.59 with $4 RR for next week.  Total Saved:  $31.77

So what was frustrating and a bummer at the time turned out to be my benefit!  Just hoping I don't have issues with employees trying to tell me that you cant use coupons on products with RR.  They would lose business in a flash!

Have you had any difficulties  at Walgreen's??  I would love to hear them!

I read the blog of a mom who does this same thing and she had the exact same comment about combining coupons and not getting the rewards. She tried it more than once and got shot down. She claims this is one of the many reasons she no longer does it! =( Sorry to hear it happened to you! I don't take the time to do it b/c I rarely go there and rarely buy the things you (and others) mention anyway. But I know Tracy H does it and uses all the hygeine stuff for Compassion Cline =) Brilliant idea! If I ever took the time to do it, that's what I would do too.

My Review:  Thanks to the Knot Genie for sending me the product to conduct my review.  I was not paid for this review and all opinions expressed are 100% mine.  I know I have grown so tired of my daughter coming to tears every morning when we did her hair. I was becoming to think she was the most

Dry Idea: Deodorant Review and Giveaway

I know most of you know I was at kids camp last week and I think I mentioned the humidity and heat that we had that week!  I was daring as I only brought my new Dry Idea  deodorant  that I had never used prior.  I had no idea if it was going to keep me from smelling like B.O or if I was going to have sweaty pits. So how did the Dry Idea hold up to the hot and humid days at kids camp???  Arms raised high during worship in the morning and in the evening!  :)  I was dry and I did not stink!  :) WOOT WOOT!  I had the unscented brand and I usually do prefer a pretty scent but it worked and they do have scents which include powder fresh and cotton dry that I might try in the future.  :) The Dry Idea Roll-On is 24 hour protection, fast drying MicroCotton Formula, hypo allergenic, and contains Vitamin E.  :) Don't like roll on's??  They do offer Clear Gel and an Invisible Solid.  :) Dry Idea provided a free sample of their Advanced Dry roll-On so I could review them.  However,
