Sidewalk Chalk- Stain Glass Look

A little painters tape and chalk and you can create a masterpiece!    We eventual broke the chalk up in baggies and added water and then used a paintbrush to make it go faster.

Water + Dandelions = Loads of Fun

All you need: Dandelions Bucket of Water Have the kids collect dandelions the bigger the better!   Then take the head of the dandelion off.  Then just like string cheese peel layers of the stem and place them in the bucket of water.   Enjoy watching them curl up!   This kept my kids busy for at least and hour! That is saying a lot because they are 12 and 9!

Glitter Sidewalk Chalk

The weather has been perfect this week so we have had some fun with glitter sidewalk chalk painting.  I saw this all over Pintrest the last few weeks and I have done chalk painting in the past but adding glitter was a whole new experience.  All you need: Muffin Tin Corn Starch Food Coloring Water Glitter Paint Brushes My son and daughter first started on the sidewalk making rainbows and other fun paintings.  Then we started painting on some scraps of lumber we no longer need.   Some other Chalk Ideas from Praises of a Wife and Mommy: Chalk Paint   Evangelize  through Chalk  Chalk Roads and Signs Chalk Mosaic   Shapes and Colors Liquid Chalk Spray   Fizzy Sidewalk Chalk

Oil with Food Coloring in the Kiddie Pool Experiment

The heat is on and we are all about having fun with WATER!  Last week I took some vegetable oil and added some food coloring to it.  When you pour the oil in the pool and mix it around it is fun to watch the oil dance and the food coloring mix with each other.  It was very neat!  I do suggest not using a kiddie pool if you want to actually see it better.  My daughter had fun splashing and pushing the oil around.   Make sure you clean the oil out of the pool.  :)

Blowing Bubbles

It was 8:00 am and we were outside blowing bubbles on this sunny spring day.  My kids will not tolerate being in doors when the sun is shining and I am cool with that!  We need to get as much sun as we can!   I love you kiddos so much!  xoxoxoxo

Chalk Color Game Sidewalk Chalk #6

The Color Game Thanks again to Pintrest where I found this idea from Toddler Approved .  We love fun ideas for outside and chalk!   My daughter never has played "Simon" so I called our game the Color game.  We played it similar to  "Simon" but my daughter is only 4 so trying to get long sequences was not the goal.  I also used 8 different colors so my goal was to sequence the 8 colors.  I would call out a color and she would jump on it then back in the middle.  Next I would say the same color and add one more and she would jump from one color to another and then back to the middle where I would add another color.  We would do that similar to "Simon" but we did not repeat a color so we would use all 8 colors  once.  She did a fantastic job of remembering where to go and each new color when it was added.   :)  This game was played several times for at least 45 minutes!  :) Yay!  My 16 month old a...
