Firework Art- Happy 4th of July

We found some spiky balls that light up at Wal-Mart and we used them in our art project to create "fireworks."  :)  This is so easy but my 1 year old and 4 year old had a grand time.  I think they would have used 100 pieces of paper if I would have allowed it!  :) To make for easy clean up I put the paper in a box!  SUPER EASY! Grab your paper and some red, white, and blue paper and a tool like a spiky ball and create some fireworks yourself.  :) The upper right hand corner my daughter made and the lower left hand corner my son made.  :)

4th of July Recap-

There was some disappointment this evening as our fireworks were cancelled due to wind.  Not sure if they will be rescheduled or not.  I am thankful that we went and watched fireworks on Saturday and Sunday.  :)   The day went well, we invited the youth group over for a BBQ and even though the event became an indoor event due to the extreme hot temps and humidity.  So glad we have a basement!!!  WHOO HOO We did have one scare today!  I had to make my first poison control phone call.  I let the kids and youth group have some glow sticks and I must have gotten a bad pack because mine broke and then a little bit later my lil man's broke and it squirted him in his eye!!  Talk about freak out!!!  I felt terrible as I started running to the bathroom to find the water fountains since we were at a park.  He could not open his eyes.  I quickly flushed his eyes out and I'm sure my husband was praying as I was taking care of him. ...

Best Daddy Ever!

I got to sit back and enjoy watching my hubby interact with our kids last night.  We were at a 4th of July celebration and as we were waiting and listening to a polka band the kids were snuggling and having daddy time.  :)   I adore it and I love seeing how much love they each have for each other.  I pray that the love and time that my hubby and I have for our children grows.  We never want our children to have to fill our time and love with someone else.   I also want to talk about the 4th of July celebration we attended!  IT WAS AWESOME!!!  I really felt like it did such a great job of being patriotic!  Most of the time now you go see fireworks and that is it, people are having BBQ's and having fun but we neglect to remember how and why we are celebrating our INDEPENDENCE!  At this celebration there were 2 characters who shared some history with us, Abe Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson.  It was a breath of fresh air to listen an...

Her First Sparkler

There were good fireworks in that town tonight so we were blessed because tomorrow we will see more. Our friend also blew up a watermelon with a sparkler bomb. Lol...boys will be boys. Lil Titus slept through all of them. Praying Selah sleeps in tomorrow...I am so tired!! Happy 4th of July. Be safe! Published with Blogger-droid v1.7.2
