Love in Action #2 – Thank You, Church Family

  “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” — 1 Corinthians 12:27 (NIV) This week, I have been so overwhelmed with gratitude for my church family. They have been showing us love in action in such a practical and powerful way—by bringing us meals. And not just any meals, but healthier, yummy meals that bless both the body and the soul. Normally, Anthony or I would handle most of the cooking in our busy household. But with both of us recovering from surgeries, meal prep quickly became one of those heavy burdens that felt overwhelming. Having brothers and sisters in Christ step in to fill that need has lifted such a weight off our shoulders. Not only did they feed us, but I also now have some new recipes to add into our family rotation. What a gift! These meals were more than food—they were reminders that we are not walking this road alone. No Complaints

There have been many times in life when I complain and I will assume you have too.  Kids are the pro's of complaining.  Have you ever gotten angry or whiny when God has different plans for your life then what you had?   Jeremiah 29:11 11  For I know the plans   I have for you,” declares the   Lord , “plans to prosper   you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.   Proverbs 16:9 n their hearts humans plan their course, b ut the LORD establishes their steps.

The Christian Parenting Handbook Review and Giveaway-(5 winners)

Last week I told you that I would be sharing my review on the book " The Christian Parenting Handbook ."  Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller wrote an amazing story that every parent should read.  The book outlines 50 different strategies that are easy for parents to try and use each day.  I ultimately love the ideas and stories that are shared with in the book.  It was really helpful for me to understand what heart issue my children might be facing when there is disobedience.  After reading " Say Goodbye to Whining, Complaining, and Bad Attitudes, in You and Your Kids" the "Christian Parenting Handbook"   was the next book to follow up with and take honor to the next level with looking at heart issues in myself and with my children.  Using a lot of the strategies are also so important for keeping parenting on a Biblical foundation.   I also told you to get excited about all the freebies you can get by getting your book La...
