Book Review- "God Mad You Nose to Toes"

Help little ones understand that God created each part of their bodies so they can enjoy life and everything in it. In this delightful padded cover board book by well-known author and family therapist Leslie Parrott, children can follow along with Toucan––with a great big nose––as he helps them learn God loves each one of them completely. My Review: Here is another board book for younger children.  I always try to teach my children that they were made on purpose, for a purpose, and with a purpose!   This book is a good introduction to teaching children that God made every part of them and then you can discuss the importance of how we are made in God's image!  My kids had some giggles when it talked about the animals God made so we can laugh!   Thanks Zondervan for sending me this book in exchange for an honest review!  I was not paid for this review and all opinions expressed are 100% mine.

My Review: Thanks Zondervan for sending me this book in exchange for an honest review.  I was not paid for this review and all opinions expressed are 100% my own.   This was an adorable board book with a powerful message, LOVE!   One thing we say all the time at church is "Have faith, give hope, be love."  This book has you hugging, kissing, sharing, helping, and ultimate feeling loved! The book has adorable pictures and good rhymes.

Book Review: Ready, Set, Find Christmas

Get ready to follow Mary and Joseph on their way to Bethlehem. They are in a hurry! Mary is expecting the baby Jesus and they need your help to find many things along the way. This holiday board book is perfect for young children who will love finding the 48 objects hidden on the pages while reading the classic story of Christmas, accurately retold and with scripture references. On your mark, Ready-Set-Find! My Review: This adorable board book will be the perfect stocking stuffer this Christmas!   The creative portion of this book is the seek and find pictures on each page while you still to read about the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus Birth!   The art is absolutely adorable, as they use cartoon like characters.   This is a book that is geared for younger children from infant to 4.  I do have a 5 and 9 year though and we still had fun searching for the pictures as well as enjoying the story.   This book is also a great addition to any Christmas rou...

The Christian Parenting Handbook Review and Giveaway-(5 winners)

Last week I told you that I would be sharing my review on the book " The Christian Parenting Handbook ."  Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller wrote an amazing story that every parent should read.  The book outlines 50 different strategies that are easy for parents to try and use each day.  I ultimately love the ideas and stories that are shared with in the book.  It was really helpful for me to understand what heart issue my children might be facing when there is disobedience.  After reading " Say Goodbye to Whining, Complaining, and Bad Attitudes, in You and Your Kids" the "Christian Parenting Handbook"   was the next book to follow up with and take honor to the next level with looking at heart issues in myself and with my children.  Using a lot of the strategies are also so important for keeping parenting on a Biblical foundation.   I also told you to get excited about all the freebies you can get by getting your book La...

Book Worth Reading: "Ride On a Motorcycle Journey to Awaken the Soul and Rediscover its Maker" by Joseph Fehlen

I love finding books that incorporate faith with another life passion.  It is easy to see that Joseph has a deep relationship with Papa God but also has a love and desire for his motorcycle.   I may not be a biker or even a biker babe for that matter,  but my husband did own a couple of bikes for a short season and maybe when we can afford a good bike rather then a bike constantly needing fixing we can make it happen for him.  My husband sold his bikes after a small accident which you can read about in my post titled,  Thank You Jesus for Protecting Him .   I know my husband deep down somewhere would like to have a bike again some day so it was a good eye opener to read Joseph's book and hear about his journey to getting a bike.  The humor he involved in telling his story is awesome!  Reading this book allowed me to think about my husband in another form when it comes to the topic of motor bikes!   Beyond the stories from ...

The Adventures of a Stay-At-Home Dad by Adam Fletcher Bradley--- BOOK REVIEW

I may be a mother and not father but as a mother I was inspired by reading this book.  After I was finished reading through the book I paged through and found so many yellow marks from all the highlighting I did while reading it!  There were so many moments reading the book where I thought, "That is exactly what I was thinking"  and "YES, so true" and "I wish I would have said that."     I was able to understand and connect with the author because of some similar experiences we both share as parents, parents with a Christian faith, and working with teenagers.    Mother or father, stay at home or work out of the house this is a must read to help you be the best parent you can be and to help you understand the importance of connecting to your child/ren on a deeper relationship level.  The book is a short read but worth re -reading anytime! This 100 page book will encourage you to go deeper relational with your children...
