Do you want to build a snowman?

After having this Olaf Christmas gift from last Christmas the kids finally had snow that would stick together and make a snowman!   They had a great time and even after this picture was taken they built another one so the snowman would not be lonely.  We have had snow and cold temperatures so far in December but now they are predicting rain on Christmas day!

Packing Peanut Snowm

I got a package that had a lot of packing peanuts so I had to find a way to reuse the packing peanuts!   Since spring is being very slow at arriving and we seem to be getting snow almost every day lately I thought a snowman would be a good choice. For my little guy I put the glue on his paper hand over hand and let him put all the pieces on his paper on his own.   My daughter had a lot of fun just digging in the box and getting some extra sensory time in while creating her snowman.

Marshmallow Snowman

January is always our snowy month so we get creative with our crafts too.  :)  I actually saw something similar to this on pintrest.com but we changed it up a little bit.  This is a craft that can be done by any age just adjust for the different ages.  Here are the steps to this wonderful craft:  Find 3 different shapes to trace for the snowman's body.  2. Gather supplies: marshmallows, toothpick (arm's), glitter ribbon (recycled from Christmas), glue, colored glue for buttons and face.   3. I helped spread the glue on the circles and then my daughter placed the marshmallows.  The middle is the shiny/glittery ribbon.  Hand over hand for the mouth and buttons.
