Dino Dig!

Sensory Time!  I still have tons of beans so why not put them in a big bowl and hide some things for my daughter to find!   We found little Dinosaurs in the dollar section at Target.  :)  Separating into color groups.

More beans!

A little hand over hand help with the glue and off she was putting her beans on.  :)  She finished her's but did not want to be done so we made daddy a birthday card.  :)

Shapes, counting, tracing, coloring, gluing beans= FUN

As I sat down to type this I realized we worked on so many skills in this one activity.  I found some great printable's for a shape book.  On each page it had a shape to trace then on the other side it had a number 1-4 and what ever number was shown we colored that many of the shapes.  Then we used some of our fun colored beans to glue inside the traced shape.  Now we have a book to review shapes.  It covered a ton of shapes too. :)  Selah had already mastered square, triangle, circle, star, heart, oval and now she is learning  cube, pentagon, rectangle, cylinder, diamond and even a few more challenging ones.      Anyone of my followers notice a theme with my daughter???  Yep, her mouth is always open or her tongue is out.  CUTE!

Dyed beans and noodles

Over the weekend Selah and I had some fun dyeing beans and noodles.  There are several different ways to do this but the way we did this was: in a bowl add water, white vinegar and food coloring stir every 15 minutes for about 2 hours then spread on a pan and put in the oven on a lower temp for about 10-15 minutes take off the tray and spread out and keep out over night to continue to let them air dry.   That looks so pretty! Are you excited looking at all of this... imagine all the fun stuff we can do with this!  :)  They kinda looked like jelly beans... make sure if you do this you reinforce them that this is not something to eat!   Stay tuned for our projects!  :)
