Flu Symptoms in Toddlers and Young Children: What to Look Out For

Children and toddlers are prone to getting colds and coughs all the time thanks to their developing immune systems. In some ways this is good for them, as their immune system will get stronger as a result enabling them to better fight off the germs and viruses that they come into contact with. But, how do you know when it is more serious than just a common cold? Flu is a virus that manifests itself in a much similar way to the common cold initially, but can make the patient feel very unwell and last for a number of weeks. If you think that your child or toddler may be suffering from a case of the flu, here are the symptoms which you should be looking out for. F everish It’s not uncommon for children suffering from the common cold to have a bit of a high temperature, but if they’re suffering with the flu it will be a lot more noticeable. Happy Birthday J

This post is very bitter sweet for me!   I was so happy to attend this little guys day but my heart is sad as I know good byes are soon to come.   Okay... that sounds way worse then it truly is as our friends are only moving to a different state not death!   Had to make that clear... but my heart is feeling a loss.   You see this little guy is friends with my kids but his mama is definatley a huge support to my husband and I both.   Always fun to have around and has totally blessed our ministry here!   It is hard to think of them not being here.  I keep asking God whey the season of life he has had me in latley is a lot of good byes because I am very exhausted of saying good bye to friends.   It will be a glorious day when we reconnect in Heaven!   So as much as I will be praying for their move, to a new state, new church, new friends, new schools I am also asking God to keep us connected and heal my sad heart!   Pray with me!

Warm Spring Weather in February!!!

I had a great time with the kiddos when it was near 60 degrees in February!   It was amazing!   Love this warm weather in February even if my kids are still desperately wanting a big snow storm and snow day from school.      This winter has been everything else except snow and cold!   HA!   We have had rain and even tornado's in December... very strange!   The kids however did get sleds and a build and Olaf set that are still in the boxes because we have had no opportunities to use them.

If you’ve got young children and want to make sure that they take good care of their teeth, we’ve got some easy and fun tips. This means around 6 million Canadians are currently living with obesity and may require immediate help to maintain their weight. Obese children are at a greater risk of becoming obese adults and can suffer from a number of health consequences, including elevated cholesterol levels, blood pressure and stress. Examining trends in childhood obesity is significant to assess ways to decrease its burden. Obesity rates among youth and children in Canada have almost tripled in the last 30 years. Book Review: "I will Follow Jesus" Bible Storybook

Book Description I Will Follow Jesus Bible Storybook, written by Judah and Chelsea Smith, will help your children learn about the most important relationship they can ever have. This Bible storybook will show your kids the characteristics of Jesus. My Review: "I will Follow Jesus" is a bible storybook for kids aged 4-8.   It has a presentation page if you would like to gift this book for a special occasion.   This Bible storybook goes through many major stories in the Old and New Testament.   I like how this Bible focuses on different people and tells their stories.   Some key people this Bible discusses includes: Moses, Hannah, Ruth, Daniel, Esther, Women at the well, Philip, Paul, and many more!    I enjoyed reading the letter to parents to hear Judah and Chelsea Smith's heart on creating this Bible.   They said, " Our desire is to translate the gospel for children in a way that they can grasp, to help them grow in their faith from a young age, and to i

Parenting: Encouraging Your Kids To Be Healthy & Happy

Image: As a loving parent, a happy and healthy child is all that you could ever ask for. This is something that can easily be taken for granted, so it’s imperative that you are responsible at all times. There are many factors that fall into the category of nurturing a healthy child. By paying attention to all of the necessary elements, there’s no reason that your kid won’t enjoy the best childhood possible. Here’s everything you need to know. Encourage Healthy Eating Child obesity is a full-blown epidemic in the Western world and helping your child avoid it starts with a healthy diet. All children are different, and you may encounter a few problems along the way. However, it’s your responsibility to ensure that they are eating as they should. Sticking processed foods in the oven may feel quick and easy. But those ingredients cannot form the basis of a healthy diet. Cooking from scratch doesn’t have to be as difficult as you might first fear, especially if you
