I have enjoyed Matthew West ’s music for years, so when I heard about his book Don’t Stop Praying , I figured I would enjoy reading it too and I absolutely have. One of the things I appreciated most was how Matthew began the book by walking readers through different parts of the Lord’s Prayer in separate chapters. It was such a meaningful and powerful way to break down prayer into something personal, approachable, and real. Instead of prayer feeling scripted or intimidating, the book reminds readers that prayer is simply a conversation with God. There were several moments throughout the book that deeply connected with my own heart and current season of life. One quote especially stood out to me: “God, I can’t handle this alone and I’m not going to pretend that I can.” I actually shared that quote on my social media because it perfectly captured feelings I have wrestled with myself.
