SonGear Review and Giveaway

Get ready to win one of these beautiful SonGear bracelets. (enter at the bottom of the post)

The Start of SonGear:
God has many ways in which He directs our lives. For me, I had just resigned from my job as an IT professional with no clear "next step" other than my God was tugging my heart to do more for His Kingdom.
After stepping out of the corporate world (aka Freedom LOL), I was in desperate need for some R and R and decided to take my 2 year old twin boys on a trip to see their grandparents in Tennessee. After a good three weeks without conference calls, emails nor the "daily grind", we returned home.
It was during the ride home that, for the first time, I felt God starting to define my "next step". It was the concept of a Christian Lifestyle company that would provide products that enabled Christians to easily share their faith, and ultimately bring them together through the new world of Social Networking.
The foundation of this idea was formed around the "Life is better with Jesus" and "Its all about the grace" slogans. They were simple enough messages that anyone, young or old, could understand, yet it also reminded us that even when things seem to be going bad, when we have challenges, life is always better with Jesus. We should praise Him because it truly is through His grace that we have eternal life.
Arriving home with my mind spinning, I started working right away. I was blessed to find that my proposed company name "SonGear.com" was available. It was catchy and correctly described the type of company I envisioned.
Soon I had an internet presence with our first website, Facebook, Twitter, etc. My IT background became a critical skill set needed to grow this company on the web. However, as an IT guy, I knew nothing about retail marketing, online marketing or advertising. It would take a miracle to get this going, but I was determined to give it my best effort.
Within the first 4 weeks, we were full-steam ahead. Our social network had reached over 5000 Facebook fans and had 100 Tee Shirts ordered. And the Facebook fan base has continued to grow to this day.
We are now in our fifth year since this dream began and, it's been a blessing. But it's also been an extreme makeover of my life, as with any new business experiences going through start-up. Sales continue to climb and the 8 hour day I used to work is only a memory. Now it can be 18. However, when I compare the joy I receive from interacting with Christians daily ... well there is no comparison.
My prayer is that God will continue to provide the ability for me to continue on this journey and that through this business, the ministry goals associated with it will change lives.
For His Kingdom,
Bob Van Zandt & Family

My Review:
Thank-you SonGear for sending me several items to review and giveaway!   I hope my giveaway winners will enjoy their bracelet and wear it with the hope to share their testimony and share Christ's love!

The giveaway I am hosting is for bracelets, 4 lucky people will enjoy one!   SonGear has more than jewelry, in fact they have a clothing line, wall art, kids clothing, and so much more!

The items were shipped to me very quickly and each item was bubble wrapped and safe in the packaging.

If you look through all their items you will find something for yourself and everyone you might be shopping for!

My favorite item that SonGear sent me was this super cool ring.   I call it my fidget ring because the chain spins around the ring.   I think some of my students at school could benefit from some rings like this!

I enjoyed reading the story of how SonGear was started!   I love his mission is to help others share their testimony and God's love!   Definitely a company I want to invest in by buying more!  I also love the theme of "Life with Jesus is better" because that is a fact!

Five lucky winners will each be winning a bracelet from SonGear!   Enter using the easy Rafflecopter form below.

Liquid Chalk spray! Chalk Idea #7

Last week we tried out the fizzing sidewalk chalk- click here to read that review. This week it is liquid chalk spray.  They are a bit similar but yet different.  Here is how to make it: Supplies: 1 tsp. washable tempura paint 1 cup of hot water 1/2 cup of cornstarch squirt of dishwashing liquid 1 squirt bottle- I found them at the dollar store 1.  Add cornstarch to one cup of hot water whisking to mix so that there are no clumps. 2.  Add one teaspoon of washable tempura paint and a quirt of dishwashing liquid.  Mix well. 3.  Pour it into your squirt bottles and shake well. 4.  Go have fun!!!   This kept my daughters attention much longer the the fizzy chalk last week.  I also think this was easier to work with and just more fun in general.  I love seeing the chalk wet but then to see it dry.  I think it dried darker so it was fun to see the changes.  :)  Ready, Set, Go!  Have some fun! She is my little model... she kept saying "take my picture mom." She is like her

Toddler Rainbow Craft for St. Patricks Day

St. Patrick's day is March 17th so its approaching quickly.  I have a few ideas on art and food projects that i want to do with the kiddos.  Hopefully I will have enough time to complete them and share them with you.   This was a super easy one for those little hands.  I cut the stripes of colored paper but if you are working with a preschooler or school aged child then they can practice cutting.  The two toddler boys here only had to glue the pieces on their piece of paper.  EASY, but they enjoyed it!  :)  It sure has brightened my kitchen with them hanging on the fridge!  :)   I also talked more about the Promise God gave us with the rainbow since I know that history a whole lot better then the history of the Irish Holiday!
