Creating a Seasonal Fashion and Beauty List

If you’ve been enjoying the summer but still would like to cross some other fun activities and beauty to do’s off of your list, there’s still time! Instead of making excuses and cramming your day full of other activities, there’s no time like the present to sit down and make a fashion and beauty list entailing a few fun activities you still want to try before the summer vanishes.
So, what will your beauty and fashion list consist of? Well, that’s entirely up to you, but here are some ideas to get you thinking and excited. That way you can accomplish these fun and fashionable ideas on your bucket list before the summer comes to a screeching halt.
Buy fun neon makeup, stat!
Neon makeup is all the rage this summer, so why not head to your nearest beauty store and stock up on some beautiful shades of lipstick? Hot pink is bold and beautiful and will look perfect with an elegant dress. There are other fun colors too, such as bright eyeshadow. Create an ombre effect on your eyelids and your eyes will certainly pop! Don’t forget about black eyeliner followed by a metallic liner as well.
Bohemian clothing
The gypsy and wanderlust style is popular these days and to get the look you should find statement clothing pieces on bohemian style clothing stores. Get festival ready with dresses and rompers that’ll compliment your style and don’t afraid to try something new that you usually wouldn’t wear. Especially if you’re headed to a festival, don’t be afraid to go all out!
A maxi dress with an open back is flirty and whimsical, and a romper with the perfect amount of lace may help you feel confident to ask that boy out on a date. As you experiment with new whimsical clothing, don’t forget to be yourself, and the rest will come together. Enjoy the final weeks of summer looking and feeling your very best!
Pastel and patterned leggings
Another fun trend that’s currently in style is pastel leggings, which come in many different shades. If you haven’t bought a pair of patterned leggings, it’s not too late! Look online, on Pinterest, or head to one of your favorite stores online. They are bound to have some trendy galaxy leggings or leggings that look like a mermaid – have fun with this style, and head to the gym looking like you’re ready to take on the world!
Relaxing pedi and mani
Most every girl loves getting a manicure and pedicure and if you haven’t carved out time yet to head to the nail salon and pamper yourself, now is the time! Bring a girlfriend or even ask your boyfriend or husband if he’s willing to go with you. Sometimes it’s important to treat yourself right and during a crazy yet fun summer, a relaxing salon session is a perfect way to do it.
So what are you waiting for? Take out a lovely pen and write your beauty and fashion list now!

Liquid Chalk spray! Chalk Idea #7

Last week we tried out the fizzing sidewalk chalk- click here to read that review. This week it is liquid chalk spray.  They are a bit similar but yet different.  Here is how to make it: Supplies: 1 tsp. washable tempura paint 1 cup of hot water 1/2 cup of cornstarch squirt of dishwashing liquid 1 squirt bottle- I found them at the dollar store 1.  Add cornstarch to one cup of hot water whisking to mix so that there are no clumps. 2.  Add one teaspoon of washable tempura paint and a quirt of dishwashing liquid.  Mix well. 3.  Pour it into your squirt bottles and shake well. 4.  Go have fun!!!   This kept my daughters attention much longer the the fizzy chalk last week.  I also think this was easier to work with and just more fun in general.  I love seeing the chalk wet but then to see it dry.  I think it dried darker so it was fun to see the changes.  :)  Ready, Set, Go!  Have some fun! She is my little model... she kept saying "take my picture mom." She is like her

Toddler Rainbow Craft for St. Patricks Day

St. Patrick's day is March 17th so its approaching quickly.  I have a few ideas on art and food projects that i want to do with the kiddos.  Hopefully I will have enough time to complete them and share them with you.   This was a super easy one for those little hands.  I cut the stripes of colored paper but if you are working with a preschooler or school aged child then they can practice cutting.  The two toddler boys here only had to glue the pieces on their piece of paper.  EASY, but they enjoyed it!  :)  It sure has brightened my kitchen with them hanging on the fridge!  :)   I also talked more about the Promise God gave us with the rainbow since I know that history a whole lot better then the history of the Irish Holiday!
