Embrace Grace- GIVEAWAY!

Have you heard of Embrace Grace?  Pro Love?  It is time you get a little familiar with this movement!

Who are they?

VISION: for every girl with an unplanned pregnancy to have a church to go to for spiritual, emotional and physical support
MISSION: to inspire and equip the church to love on single and pregnant young women and their families
Embrace Grace, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed for the purpose of providing emotional, practical and spiritual support for single, young women and their families who find themselves in an unintended pregnancy. The primary goal of Embrace Grace is to empower churches across the nation to be a safe and non-judging place for the girls to run to when they find out they are pregnant, instead of the last place they are welcomed because of shame and guilt.
We provide curriculum and resources for the church to implement our programs and become a Pro-Love church. If the church, the Body of Christ, will join together to support these girls who choose life, young moms will be more open to not aborting their babies. Whether they keep their baby or choose adoption, Embrace Grace is a support system for them as they begin their journey of being a young mother or blessing another family with their baby. Emotionally and spiritually healthy mommies parent emotionally and spiritually healthy babies. Through the Embrace Grace program, lives are saved and generations are being changed. God loves these babies and their mommies, and we do too.
Most churches advocate life and discourage women from getting abortions, but once a brave and courageous girl chooses life, a lot of times the church then steps away and has nothing to offer her for support at that point. She is then left with nine months of being scared, worried and feeling alone. She journeys into a season of being a single mom without direction and guidance from a spiritual family. This is where the Body of Christ can minister to women who are desperately searching for a Savior. This is where we can speak into their lives and hearts that will have an impact for generations to come!
Wow, anyone watch the video or read all that and feel the presence of God convicting them to get involved?  It's a good thing... it's love in action.   We can easily go on facebook and post articles about being pro love or pro-life but are we doing a good job at showing the real love of Christ by offering help and compassion to someone who needs it? There are several ways to get involved with this ministry. What way can you help?  Look at the three options and pray and ask God what he wants you to do!

  1. Start an Embrace Grace at their local church so young women with unplanned pregnancies have a support group.
  2. Partner with the national organization through prayer and support at
  3. Download and print our brave girl letter ( and mail to address below for us to place inside a Love in a Box.
You can mail your Brave Girl letter to:

So what is Praises of a Wife and Mommy doing after learning all this information?  Well, so far I have started on a letter.... So far it is a nice long prayer for strength and that they would experience the Love of God as they continued to walk the adventure of the pregnancy.  I hope it encourages and makes them feel encouraged and strong!
The other thing I did was reach out to a lady that I know runs a pregnancy resource center.   I am asking her about the Embrace Grace movement and seeing if our little church would be a good fit as I am in a small town away from the city... it might be hard for some of the ladies to meet as a group at my church but I am praying about it and waiting for God to open or close the door.  So until God gives the green light I am choosing to write a letter and become a prayer partner for such a powerful ministry!

I received the necklace and journal and 5 lucky people will also be winning one in a giveaway that you can enter HERE:

The necklace is beautiful gold and the journal has so much encouragement and some good introspective questions that can bring clarity and peace to some.

I pray that you will consider getting involved with Embrace Grace!   I hope to update you more on how I am staying involved.   First thing is finishing this letter!  Any advice?

Knot Genie Review and Giveaway

If you have a little girl and have not heard of the Knot Genie then you need to watch the following video:   "The Knot Genie™ and Teeny Genie™ Detangling Brushes were created for every mom that has endured the foot stomping and screaming matches that come with brushing their child's hair. With the Knot Genie, even the curliest, most knotted up hair practically slips through the unique bristle configuration – gently and painlessly. Try the Knot Genie on your kids (or on yourself) – you'll be amazed by the ease of brushing, as well as how it virtually stops breakage and split ends. You've wished for hair brushing standoffs to end. Wish granted." My Review:  Thanks to the Knot Genie for sending me the product to conduct my review.  I was not paid for this review and all opinions expressed are 100% mine.  I know I have grown so tired of my daughter coming to tears every morning when we did her hair. I was becoming to think she was the most

Dry Idea: Deodorant Review and Giveaway

I know most of you know I was at kids camp last week and I think I mentioned the humidity and heat that we had that week!  I was daring as I only brought my new Dry Idea  deodorant  that I had never used prior.  I had no idea if it was going to keep me from smelling like B.O or if I was going to have sweaty pits. So how did the Dry Idea hold up to the hot and humid days at kids camp???  Arms raised high during worship in the morning and in the evening!  :)  I was dry and I did not stink!  :) WOOT WOOT!  I had the unscented brand and I usually do prefer a pretty scent but it worked and they do have scents which include powder fresh and cotton dry that I might try in the future.  :) The Dry Idea Roll-On is 24 hour protection, fast drying MicroCotton Formula, hypo allergenic, and contains Vitamin E.  :) Don't like roll on's??  They do offer Clear Gel and an Invisible Solid.  :) Dry Idea provided a free sample of their Advanced Dry roll-On so I could review them.  However,
