Celebrate Your Pregnancy in Style

Being pregnant is a big deal. You’re growing a new life inside you, and pretty soon your life will change forever. So, you should take the time to enjoy every second of your pregnancy, making memories that you will look back fondly on when your baby is all grown-up.

Here are some great ways to enjoy this special time and celebrate your pregnancy in style:

Take Lots of Maternity Pictures

You simply must take lots of pictures when you’re pregnant. Capture all of the memories at every stage of the pregnancy, so that you can look back and remember the time with clarity after you give birth  Obviously, you’ll get the best pictures when you’re in your final trimester, but do make the effort to capture everything.

Cast Your Bump

bump cast kit enables you to make a plaster cast of your pregnant belly, which you can keep and display to remind you of your pregnancy. It’s also a great way for you and your husband to spend some time bonding over baby before he or she makes their presence known in the delivery room.

Throw a Baby Shower

Typically, your friends will throw you a baby shower in your first trimester, but there is nothing to stop you getting involved in the planning process if you want to ensure you have the best time. You can find lots of great baby shower ideas online, which will help you to throw a most impressive bash that gets you geared up for baby’s arrival.

Paint Your Belly

One thing lots of mommies do to get their other children excited about their new sibling is the act of belly painting. Take some body paints and get the kids to decorate your baby bump with lots of pretty pictures as you talk to them about baby’s arrival and what it will mean for the whole family. Remember to take lots of pictures!

Do Some Yoga

Prenatal yoga is one of the most relaxing ways to enjoy your pregnancy., The stretching and gentle movements can make you feel more comfortable, prepare you for pregnancy and get rid of any aches and pains, at least for a little while.

Take a Romantic Trip

Many expecting couples choose to go on a ‘babymoon’ before the birth. This is simply a romantic trip where they can spend quality time together, away from all other commitments, before their baby arrives and turns their lives upside down, in the best possible way, for a couple of years.

Video Your Pregnancy

If documenting your pregnancy with photos just won’t cut it, why not go the extra mile by making your own video log of your maternity? Not only will you be able to look back on it whenever you like, but it’ll be cool to show the baby when they’re older and wondering about their very first days of existence. You can continue to film once baby is born, to ensure you document every moment of their life, too.

Make a Cute Announcement

In the early days of your pregnancy, there will come a point when you’ll want to tell your friends and family the good news. Instead of simply calling or texting them, when not make a really cool announcement  Lots of celebrities and us average mamas are now taking to social media to unveil their pregnancies in weird and wonderful ways. Why not join them and make a pregnancy announcement your loved ones will never forget?

Chart Your Belly’s Growth

Take a large piece of paper and trace your belly onto it. Do this every week as your belly grows, and you’ll be able to measure your baby’s progress as your pregnancy moves ahead. If you use paints, pastels or colored pencils, you can turn this chart into a cool piece of artwork that you can display along with your maternity photos and belly cast.

Journal It

Writing down your thoughts and feelings throughout your pregnancy can help you to come to terms with the changes you are facing and prepare yourself for the arrival of your beautiful baby. It will also be nice to read it back some day when your baby is all grown up, and you want to remember those very first days when you were so excited about bringing them into the world.

Meet Other Mothers to Be

If there are any groups and meetups for other pregnant mothers in your area, it might be a good idea to go along. Spending time with other pregnant ladies will give you some much-needed support from people who are going through the same things. You’ll be able to discuss any problems you have to get reassurance and spend some time having fun along the way. If you make friends with other mamas to be, who’s babies are due around the same time as yours, you’ll also make some future friends for your baby, which is important when they start to interact with the world around them.

Make a Model of Your Unborn Baby

Technology is so good these days that you can actually have a 3D model of your unborn baby crafted from their image. This is certainly the weirdest idea on the list, and it’s probably not for most mothers, but if you’re a quirky, creative type, it could be kinda cool!

Do All of Your Favorite Things

When you’re baby is born, most of your time is going to be taken up with their needs. You’ll be on round the clock mommy and daddy duty, and you probably won’t get much sleep in that crucial first year. So, why not take the chance to do all those things you really love now before the baby is born? Go to the movies, make art, have lots of date nights, visit that one place you’ve always wanted to and generally enjoy yourself as much as you can, so that you go into motherhood in the right frame of mind, ready to take on your parental duties with no regrets.

Enjoy your pregnancy in any way you can. It’s an amazing experience, but it goes by so quickly that, if you don’t take the time to appreciate it, you could miss out!

"The Reading Game" Review and Giveaway

Description: The first book in  The Reading Game  learn-to-read series tells the story of a skunk without a stripe who is rejected by the other skunks but finds acceptance among some cats and becomes their defender.  It’s told in rhyme, is beautifully illustrated, and is 32 pages long.  It will be the first book the student reads, and there are five more to follow in this groundbreaking learn to read program. Each of The Reading Game's six stories is told using just thirty new words.  These are broken down into six sets of five words.  The student learns to read each set of five words by playing a simple word matching game.  Frequent exposure through play hard wires these words into long-term memory.  Rote learning is transformed into a fast-paced game with a winner every few seconds. After completing Skunk, Game 1, the student has learned five words (can, cat, is, me, not).  Playing Game 2 adds an additional five w...

Packing for your first ski trip

Pexels - CCO Licence So, you're gearing up for your first ski trip and the excitement is as thick as the snow you're about to conquer. But before you can show off those freshly learned pizza and French fry stops, you’ve got to pack.  Packing for a ski trip can feel like preparing for a chilly expedition to the North Pole, but fear not! With these nifty tips, you'll be ready to hit the slopes in style and comfort. 1. Layer Like a Lasagna Think of your ski outfit as a gourmet lasagna: each layer is crucial. Start with a moisture-wicking base layer (yes, that includes thermal underwear) to keep you dry and snug. Over that, layer a warm and breathable mid-layer—think fleece or a wool sweater that can handle the chill. Top it all off with a waterproof and windproof jacket and pants. Remember, it's all about layers that you can add or peel off because sweating while you ski is less fun than a snowball in the face. 2. Keep Those Fingers Cosy Cold hands can ruin a...
