Four ways to look fabulous while touring the tropics

Sunshine is not always about a gentle warmth, picnics, and butterflies. It is also about blazing heat, severe tanning, and sunburns, especially in the Tropics. Tropical countries have their own distinct beauty with picturesque landscapes and rich cultures. Touring there, especially in the summers, is not so dreamlike when reality hits your face in the form of the blazing sun. Nonetheless, when you are on a tour, you will not always want to sit in the shade when a sun basked scenery awaits you. Apart from depending on sunscreens and hydration to protect yourself from the sun, remain to look glamorous while you protect yourself. Here are a few tips you can consider when you venture into the tropical sun:
  1. Wear scarves: These are classy options and an instant glam up to most attires. You can loosely drape one around your head and shoulders, or tie it like a headband for that cool bohemian look, or make it into a head wrap or a shoulder shrug. This piece comes not only in varied colors, but also in a variety of fabrics like cotton, satin, and silk among other materials. Choose a plain one or one with the local motifs for that exotic look.
  2. Use hats: These are timeless accessories and are a brilliant invention of our ancestors. They play a dual role in protecting you from the sun even while making you look stylish. They range from simple dainty varieties to regal extravagant ones. You can get them from a hat maker around the corner or you can even order a tailored one online from sites like americanhatmakers.com. While you can get it made to suit your style and comfort, make sure to not opt for one that is too tight as it may damage your hair follicles. Do look for some ventilation in them. Opt for wide-brimmed hats for extra protection against the sun.
  3. Put on your sunglasses: Glasses are glam. They can lift your look up a notch instantly while protecting your eyes from the glaring sun. The skin around your eyes is extremely delicate, which gets damaged by the sun and easily results in wrinkles. Even when you are tired and your face is drained of all your makeup, you can instantly get ‘photo’-ready with a neat pair of sunglasses. Nowadays, they come in a wide range of shapes and sizes like the Oversized, Aviator, Cat-eyed and so on. You can go for UV absorbent shades as well.
  4. Check out some parasols: These pretty things permeate a vintage kind of classy look. They not only give you a broad coverage, but will also make you look like a lady. They are available in various beautiful colors for you to choose from.

So why wait when you can experiment these methods? Find out which one suites you best and then grab one of the above accessories, slather some sunscreen and be a part of the beautiful picture that awaits you.

My Review:  Thanks to the Knot Genie for sending me the product to conduct my review.  I was not paid for this review and all opinions expressed are 100% mine.  I know I have grown so tired of my daughter coming to tears every morning when we did her hair. I was becoming to think she was the most

Dry Idea: Deodorant Review and Giveaway

I know most of you know I was at kids camp last week and I think I mentioned the humidity and heat that we had that week!  I was daring as I only brought my new Dry Idea  deodorant  that I had never used prior.  I had no idea if it was going to keep me from smelling like B.O or if I was going to have sweaty pits. So how did the Dry Idea hold up to the hot and humid days at kids camp???  Arms raised high during worship in the morning and in the evening!  :)  I was dry and I did not stink!  :) WOOT WOOT!  I had the unscented brand and I usually do prefer a pretty scent but it worked and they do have scents which include powder fresh and cotton dry that I might try in the future.  :) The Dry Idea Roll-On is 24 hour protection, fast drying MicroCotton Formula, hypo allergenic, and contains Vitamin E.  :) Don't like roll on's??  They do offer Clear Gel and an Invisible Solid.  :) Dry Idea provided a free sample of their Advanced Dry roll-On so I could review them.  However,
