THANK YOU!  THANK YOU!!  The 2014 Light the Night walk has come to an end but it was a memorable one again.   It amazes me to hear how the Leukemia and Lymphoma spends the money.  As I sat in my seat reading the big screen with some facts regarding blood cancers, my heart sad as I reminisced about my mom but happy to see how far cancer research has come.   I might not have raised as much money as last year but I feel the amount I raised is still making a big difference. Some days you need to hear from Kid President!   I opened up my email and to my surprise my daughters school sent an email about doing the #socktober fundraising with Kid President!  :)   I enjoyed watching his videos and seeing how much of an impact this young 9 year old is having around the world.    I will have to have my daughter watch the videos tomorrow and make a plan on what we can do to help.  A good question for you and your family is what can you do to help? 

We are still waiting to have the birthday celebration with her friends but let's be honest this little girl has had a blessed birthday week.   First she woke up to one of the best sunrises I have ever seen: After admiring the sunrise as a family the birthday girl went with daddy and picked out some breakfast donuts!  :)  We lit the candles and sang the Birthday tune!   (oh I should also add that her door was decorated with yarn so when she woke up and opened the door it was a surprise!) The birthday girl went to school with birthday Popsicle treats to share with her class.  More surprises were in store once she got home!   My kids know birthday's means ice cream... not like we don't eat that like every week but either way if someone is celebrating their birthday hands down we are eating ice cream.   What my daughter did not know what that our local, family owned ice cream place would have her name on their sign! ...
