5 reasons to continue to breastfeed

I saw this and loved it because some days are hard.  Lately little man has been really hurting while nursing with the latch and head turn.  :(  I also think teeth are coming soon but I am going to keep on trucking along!

Top 5 reasons to continue breastfeeding
  1. Promotes a growing bond between you and your baby.
  2. Provides your baby with infection-fighting antibodies.
  3. Releases hormones that promote mothering behavior.
  4. May help protect your baby from obesity and diabetes.
  5. Reduces the risk of ovarian cancer and breast cancer for mom later in life.

Thanks for sharing this. All of my babes have been easy breastfeeders, with the exception of my now 6 year old -- as a newborn, it took her almost two weeks to properly latch! Though I didn't give up, I sure could have used this reminder six years ago! :) Have a blessed day!

I wasn't able to breastfeed with my little ones. I tried so hard, but I just could. It is great that you are.

Oh I am sorry you are having problems. Do you have a lactation consultant? They are really terrific. Little Bit and I were blessed enough to nurse for 13 months. It was hard at times but I am really glad we stuck it out. Praying for you guys that it will get easier!

Hang in there! It can be difficult while teeth are coming in! Set the standard right away, if he bites, stop nursing immediately and wait an hour or two before feeding him again. I had several run ins with Gracie when she was teething! Your doing great! Keep going!!

Liquid Chalk spray! Chalk Idea #7

Last week we tried out the fizzing sidewalk chalk- click here to read that review. This week it is liquid chalk spray.  They are a bit similar but yet different.  Here is how to make it: Supplies: 1 tsp. washable tempura paint 1 cup of hot water 1/2 cup of cornstarch squirt of dishwashing liquid 1 squirt bottle- I found them at the dollar store 1.  Add cornstarch to one cup of hot water whisking to mix so that there are no clumps. 2.  Add one teaspoon of washable tempura paint and a quirt of dishwashing liquid.  Mix well. 3.  Pour it into your squirt bottles and shake well. 4.  Go have fun!!!   This kept my daughters attention much longer the the fizzy chalk last week.  I also think this was easier to work with and just more fun in general.  I love seeing the chalk wet but then to see it dry.  I think it dried darker so it was fun to see the changes.  :)  Ready, Set, Go!  Have some fun! She is my little model... she kept saying "take my picture mom." She is like her
