Word's Do Matter

Word's do matter...           This picture caught my attention quickly but beyond the concern for people who are the victim of verbal abuse.  (Don't get me wrong this is a serious issue and I am saddened by their pain) I was reminded of the power we have in our tongue.  It made me think of times where I was diligent to change my negative thinking and claim healing and life but there are many times where I fall victim to the enemy in my thinking and speak death rather then life.

The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.  Proverbs 18:21

Are you using your words to encourage and bring life or are you bringing death and discouragement?  I mean really think about the things you are saying.  Such as speaking illness into our bodies rather then speaking health and healing, or speaking bad about our husband instead of lifting him up.  Talking bad or gossip about a friend or family rather then speaking life into them.  It is so common for us to allow the enemy to win this battle and make us think we are defeated or not worthy but we need to stop that thinking and remember who we are in CHRIST!  "I AM MORE THEN A CONQUEROR!  So no more saying, "I'm sick" "Your killing me" "I am hormonal" (yep that has been my words lately...preaching to myself here)  "I'm depressed" "your dumb" or how about "my kids are naughty" my kids are rude" "my kids don't listen" or how about "my husband is ______"

If someone says, "I love God," but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is a liar; for if we don't love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?  1John 4:20
Lets try to remember to LOVE more like CHRIST!

A wholesome tongue is a tree of life. Prov. 15:4

Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. Pro 12:18

Have you ever wondered who started the saying "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never harm me."  This is just not true and very un-biblical.                   So how do we start speaking life rather then death?  First, get in the WORD and second think before you speak!  :)  Would love to hear your thoughts on this topic!  :)

So, so true! I've often thought that bones can heal, but words go far deeper and leave scars that at times no one can see.

Each of The Reading Game's six stories is told using just thirty new words.  These are broken down into six sets of five words.  The student learns to read each set of five words by playing a simple word matching game.  Frequent exposure through play hard wires these words into long-term memory.  Rote learning is transformed into a fast-paced game with a winner every few seconds. After completing Skunk, Game 1, the student has learned five words (can, cat, is, me, not).  Playing Game 2 adds an additional five w...

Common Mistakes Made When Writing a Will

Writing a will should, by all means, be a simple thing. You want to make sure that your assets are being left to your loved ones and that your final wishes are being fulfilled. Usually, they are rather straightforward, but that doesn’t mean that they are entirely foolproof. Here, we’re going to look at some common issues that can lead to disputes or delays in carrying out your will. Image - CC0 License Not Having It Witnessed Correctly One of the most common mistakes when writing a will is not having it witnessed correctly. Wills generally require the signatures of at least two witnesses who are not beneficiaries or spouses of beneficiaries. If the will is not witnessed in accordance with legal requirements, it may be declared invalid, meaning your estate would be distributed according to intestacy laws, which may not align with your wishes. It’s important to follow the witnessing procedures exactly as outlined in your jurisdiction to ensure the will is legally enforceable. Chan...
