Are you being a good example?

As a christian we know it is our job to share our faith, to share the love of Christ and his Good News.  Are you sharing?  What about just living your life as a good example?  People will always watch and see your actions so are your actions and words something Jesus would say or do?  Paul writes and tell's people to look and watch him and be like him...brave man!  Have I been thinking about what other believers or non believers would see through my actions and words?

Phillipains 3:17 Dear brothers and sisters, pattern your lives after mine, and learn from those who follow our example.

Paul was willing to be an example and was up for the challenge to do so. I love his heart and his attitude because in my thinking I think "wow it is such a hard task."  Then I sit and think about how easy it is at the same time.  Loving more is obviously one thing we all can continue to work on.  I know when I start to love people more I am always following in Christ's examples.  The other thing is always staying in His word and continuing to learn more about Jesus.

I know I have a big influence on our youth group and I want to always be a blessing in their lives, be real, but always show them how to be more like Christ.

So if you had a new believer live their life following in your footsteps what kind of life would you lead them too?   Would they see Christ come through or would they see the world?  (No worries, non of us are perfect and we get grace but think about it.)

Thought provoking blog and question. As I ponder I pray that I am that example to others that would lead them to the very one that first loved them Our Father in heaven. That they would want to know Him as their Lord and Savior as I do. I think I always have room for much improvement though. But ... I am a charcter in progress.

I can say I sure am trying to live as an example! Thank you for joining Planet Weidknecht's Weekend Hop. I am following you and hope to see you again soon.
Wow...when you think about Paul, you realize how genuine his heart was in living with the believers. But Paul was never afraid of speaking the truth and also being confrontational for the sake of God's truth. It's hard to have that kind of wisdom.
