First day of 4-K

September 4th, 2012 will be a day to remember!  It was the first day my baby girl got on the school bus to start 4-K!  I was unsure if I was going to cry or be happy but now that she is sitting in school I am sitting here with mixed emotions.  I sure am a blessed mommy who has had the opportunity to spend my days with her and my son.  :)  I am happy she is only gone in the afternoons and I have one more year before she is gone the full school day.  I had been on the fence for a very long time about public, christian, homeschooling choices for education but we determined that at this point we would try public.

Hope you enjoy the pictures!  I was very blessed to have one of my past favorite youth group students come and take pictures to capture this exciting day!  :)

We labeled everything with our fun Lollipop Labels

I think this will be our thing each year: When I grow up I want to be....
The cute thing is actually hearing my daughter say gymnastics.  Its more nastics then anything else.

You know we love sidewalk chalk so we had to get a photo with the sidewalk chalk sign!  :)

Brother was still confused about what all the excitement was all about.

Looking  for the bus!

THE BUS IS COMING!

STILL EXCITED!

Huge seat-Little girl!

Now I need to jump in the kitchen and whip up a tasty treat and a Taco dinner-her choice!  :)  Hope all of your kids first day of school was awesome.

Before I end this post I just want to make a declaration...
I declare that this school year God is going to be in the the halls and school!  I declare my daughter will be the light in her school and her faith will shine!  I also pray for safety for all the students nationwide!  I pray for all the teachers and staff!  Join me in praying for a great school year!  AMEN!

Great post. We did kindergarten pictures too. We also wrestled with the best place for our daughter this year, and also decided public was the choice. Glad I found your great site. Jodi @ www.meaningfulmama.com

Common Mistakes Made When Writing a Will

Writing a will should, by all means, be a simple thing. You want to make sure that your assets are being left to your loved ones and that your final wishes are being fulfilled. Usually, they are rather straightforward, but that doesn’t mean that they are entirely foolproof. Here, we’re going to look at some common issues that can lead to disputes or delays in carrying out your will. Image - CC0 License Not Having It Witnessed Correctly One of the most common mistakes when writing a will is not having it witnessed correctly. Wills generally require the signatures of at least two witnesses who are not beneficiaries or spouses of beneficiaries. If the will is not witnessed in accordance with legal requirements, it may be declared invalid, meaning your estate would be distributed according to intestacy laws, which may not align with your wishes. It’s important to follow the witnessing procedures exactly as outlined in your jurisdiction to ensure the will is legally enforceable. Chan...

Win some Sweet Andy's Cookies

A big thank you to Andy who sent me some amazing cookies to try to conduct my review.  :)  All opinions expressed are 100 % mine and I was not paid for this review.   About Sweet Andy's Cookies: The “Thank You” Cookie In 2009, Andrew (Sweet Andy) found himself in a position like so many others at that time in our past; the economy was quickly spiraling downward and he had left his job in the financial services industry. Although Andy had an MBA in Banking and Finance and had even written a book entitled, “A Guide to Taking Control of Your Investments”, he found himself to be disenchanted with the financial industry and left to pursue “other work.”  The “other work” that Andrew pursued was with the Church and did not provide financial support for the family.  During this time Andy and his wife, Lissa, struggled to find other forms of income. They did what they could for themselves and their five children but often it was not enough. But there were...
