Owl Always Love You- Book Review from Flatten Me with Giveaway!

Can you see how happy he is to get his new personalized book?  :)  We had to read it two times through as soon as we got it.  I would read it over an over if he wanted, I am so thrilled he loves reading books.

Flatten Me and their story:
All stories have a beginning. This is ours.
Years ago, my husband caught our daughter on film eating a gobstopper – 15 photos taken over 24 minutes and 10 seconds. The photos were arranged in a book and given to my daughter as a special gift. It was love at first sight. My daughter slept with it, ate with it, took it on road trips. Love-worn and long-admired, the book slowly fell apart, just like the fur on the Velveteen Rabbit.
Our lives are defined by stories – stories of childhood, of triumph, of loss. Even wild stories of the imagination. When a child pretends to be a pirate or a princess or a fairy, she truly believes she has changed, become part of a different world for that moment in time. She has invented a new story of her own.
It is in this world – one of imagination, inspiration and gifts of the heart – in which flattenme was born. We seek not only to spark the imagination of a child, but to take a story which starts as a moment in time – a photograph – and then becomes something entirely new.
So, storytelling first. And then, what? Wonderment and delight is not the sole domain of children.

Flatten Me recently just launched this adorable "Owl Always Love _____"  There is not picture needed for this book just a name.  Flatten Me does offer tons of other fun personalizations on books, t-shirts, water bottles, cards, wall art, and more fun things.

Thank-you Flatten Me for sending me a free book to conduct my review.  I was not paid for this review and all opinions are 100% mine.

As you can see in the picture below the story will use your child's name as a repetitive line on every page.  I love that feature because after reading the story so many times your child will be able to recite the repetitive line all on their own.  The pictures are also stunning and capture the hearts and attention of all ages.

GIVEAWAY!   If you want to win a coupon code valued at $34.95 for a Keepsake Hardcover copy of "Owl Always Love You"  make sure you enter using the easy Rafflecopter form.  The code will expire August 13, 2013 and the winner will be responsible to pay the 3.99 flat rate shipping charge.  Trust me the small shipping fee is worth it!

Liquid Chalk spray! Chalk Idea #7

Last week we tried out the fizzing sidewalk chalk- click here to read that review. This week it is liquid chalk spray.  They are a bit similar but yet different.  Here is how to make it: Supplies: 1 tsp. washable tempura paint 1 cup of hot water 1/2 cup of cornstarch squirt of dishwashing liquid 1 squirt bottle- I found them at the dollar store 1.  Add cornstarch to one cup of hot water whisking to mix so that there are no clumps. 2.  Add one teaspoon of washable tempura paint and a quirt of dishwashing liquid.  Mix well. 3.  Pour it into your squirt bottles and shake well. 4.  Go have fun!!!   This kept my daughters attention much longer the the fizzy chalk last week.  I also think this was easier to work with and just more fun in general.  I love seeing the chalk wet but then to see it dry.  I think it dried darker so it was fun to see the changes.  :)  Ready, Set, Go!  Have some fun! She is my little model... she kept saying "take my picture mom." She is like her

Toddler Rainbow Craft for St. Patricks Day

St. Patrick's day is March 17th so its approaching quickly.  I have a few ideas on art and food projects that i want to do with the kiddos.  Hopefully I will have enough time to complete them and share them with you.   This was a super easy one for those little hands.  I cut the stripes of colored paper but if you are working with a preschooler or school aged child then they can practice cutting.  The two toddler boys here only had to glue the pieces on their piece of paper.  EASY, but they enjoyed it!  :)  It sure has brightened my kitchen with them hanging on the fridge!  :)   I also talked more about the Promise God gave us with the rainbow since I know that history a whole lot better then the history of the Irish Holiday!
