Book Review: Bunny's First Spring *Giveaway

About Bunny's First Spring
When a bunny is born in spring, he sees the world as green and new and full of hope.  But as the seasons change, the bunny worries that the earth may be dying.  In bestselling author’s Sally Lloyd-Jones’ latest picture book celebrating the Easter season and rebirth, nature speaks to the bunny, assuring him of something more. Award-winning artist David McPhail’s whimsical illustrations reflect the beauty of the world around us as Lloyd-Jones’ inspirational text prompts readers to celebrate the changing seasons and the miracle of nature’s rebirth.

My Review:
Thanks Zondervan for sending me this book free of charge in exchange for an honest review.  All opinions expressed are 100% mine and I was not paid for this review.

I have reviewed other books written by Sally Lloyd-Jones and am really becoming a fan.   This book makes the reader wonder about other animals as she playfully writes about Bunny.   I enjoyed the book but couldn't help but wonder about more animals and curious as to what they think when the weather and seasons change.   Sally wrote a nice book that sparks curiosity in minds of all ages.

The illustrator, David McPhail, has created great  pictures of Bunny and all the seasons.  It is fun to see the emotion all over Bunny's face as he is confused when the leaves and snow fall and fear when all his animal friends leave.

This book can easily be tied into any season lessons you might be teaching or Easter and spring.   It truly can focus on the rebirth and Easter message.  :)

This book is geared fro ages 4-8 and would make a great addition to your library.   Zondervan has this hardcover for sale starting February 3, 2015.   Try to win a copy of this book by entering the giveaway below:

Toddler Rainbow Craft for St. Patricks Day

St. Patrick's day is March 17th so its approaching quickly.  I have a few ideas on art and food projects that i want to do with the kiddos.  Hopefully I will have enough time to complete them and share them with you.   This was a super easy one for those little hands.  I cut the stripes of colored paper but if you are working with a preschooler or school aged child then they can practice cutting.  The two toddler boys here only had to glue the pieces on their piece of paper.  EASY, but they enjoyed it!  :)  It sure has brightened my kitchen with them hanging on the fridge!  :)   I also talked more about the Promise God gave us with the rainbow since I know that history a whole lot better then the history of the Irish Holiday!

Harlem Globetrotters- A night of Fun! Save 20%

If you only came here for the discount code then there ya go!  Save 20% at checkout with the code: USFAM!   I will admit that prices seem very costly in my opinion so hopefully this 20% off will really help you.   I was blessed to be able to promote this discount and post about my experience to get free tickets for my family.   I am not sure our budget would be able to afford the tickets... family of four and ticket prices we got were over a $100 each ticket... so it can make for a pricey night.   Then add in if you get snacks, a ball, or a jersey you could spend a hefty paycheck in one evening of fun.    With that said, my family did have a good time.   We saw good talent, we had lots of laughs, we cheered, and we enjoyed watching with each other.   Some would say the Harlem Globetrotters are like the equivalent of WWE but with basketball.   There is a storyline within the game, which helps get the crowd going and cheering.   My 11 year old had the most fun!   He was standing up and
