One of the sweetest gifts God has given me during this season of healing has been worship. Music has always had a way of reaching deep into the soul, but in this journey of injury, surgery, and recovery, I’ve experienced it in a whole new way.
I’ve been especially encouraged by artists who have walked through their own valleys and allowed their pain to become praise. Forest Frank and David Crowder—both of whom have walked through healing journeys—teamed up to write a song that has touched me deeply. Seeing the Body of Christ come together in unity, sharing testimonies of God’s goodness even in pain, has been a powerful reminder that we are never alone.
During the long days of waiting and the restless nights, I’ve had these songs on repeat:
Forest Frank – Lemonade
This song reminded me that God can take even the sourest seasons of life and bring something sweet out of them.
This duet is a testimony of God’s strength in weakness, and it carried me when I felt shaken.
These songs weren’t just background music—they became lifelines, prayers, and declarations over my life.
The Psalms remind us again and again of the power of worship in times of struggle:
“He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.”
— Psalm 40:3 (NIV)
And when my heart felt weary, I remembered:
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.”
— Psalm 28:7 (NIV)
So while my body has been healing, my spirit has been strengthened through worship. These songs reminded me that even when life hurts, God is still good. He is the Rock that never moves.
