Good laugh

I went out to eat with the family this weekend and had a great laugh when I read this on the menu.   Hehehe What if I do want a puppy? ?

Flowers on my mom's headstone.

After my brother's wedding on Saturday I asked him if I could take some of the pink roses since those were my mom's flowers and my brother made it a point to mention my mom during the ceremony.  It was very sweet.  :)   Since I had not brought my daughter or my son to the cemetery before I thought it would be nice.  Selah was very excited to place the flowers on the headstone.   We miss you MOM!!   I know she is have so much more fun in Heaven with Jesus!  :)  I am so blessed to know we will be up in Heaven together one day!  :)    I also get excited to share more and more stories with my daughter.  I have been able to tell her about her grandma and she loves to ask questions.  The only thing is she will often say, "I want to go to heaven to see Grandma."   Be patient little girl, GOD has big plans for you!!  :)

This is why I love to blog...

I love blogging so much but I love it when I know I've inspired someone.  Inspired them in their walk with God or to be a better parent or even as simple as a craft with their kids or a meal for the family.   Today I received a touching email and I had to share it because it made my morning.  I will keep her anonymous but THANK-you for encouraging me to keep sharing!  Here is the email:  Hi April!  Thank you so much – this is awesome!  I am so happy I came across your blog via Twitter – I really enjoy it.  I also wanted to you to know how much I enjoyed your post “Forgiveness at 2 am”. I have a little girl close in age to your daughter (mine is almost 4), and I’m embarrassed to admit it, but I haven’t been great about teaching her the concept of forgiveness (well, at home, anyway. She goes to a Christian preschool and she hears it at church – but I need to reinforce it at home too).  I guess I figured she’d learn it...

School Bell

Over the weekend while in town visiting my father we went on a walk and I got to go back down some childhood memories.  We walked to my childhood elementary school.  It is fun to show my daughter those types of things.  :)  There is this really big bell at the school so of course we had to stop and ring it and get a photo.  :)   It is a very old bell but it still works well!
