Mini Getaway to Celebrate 11 year

Happy 11 years!   I love that guy!   That guy right there knows me, knows me better than myself sometimes.   He orders food at restaurants that he knows I will like in case what I order I dislike.  He is the best listener... even better than I am- sometimes he says he is the female in this relationship because he talks more than the average male.  :)  We have fun together all the time.  Most importantly I am thankful for God to bring me this man and pick him for my spouse because he leads me.   He loves me and encourages me in everything I do but most importantly he prays for me and with me.   We technically should have done this mini two-night getaway last month to celebrate 11 years of marriage but better late than never.   Next year we are saving money and taking a plane somewhere!

How to Achieve the Perfect Smile

Do you often refuse to show your teeth when someone snaps your photograph? Do you ever look in the mirror and wish your teeth were straighter or whiter? Don’t allow your teeth to dent your confidence. All you need to do is follow our top tips for achieving the perfect smile. Brush Your Teeth Twice Daily Everyone must brush their teeth a minimum of twice daily to achieve a clean, healthy smile. Aim to brush your teeth for between two to three minutes and only use a fluoride toothpaste. However, we recommend gentle brushing, especially around the gum line. Many people make the mistake of rigorously brushing their teeth, which will only damage their gums and cause future dental complications. Don’t Forget to Floss Flossing should also become part of your daily oral hygiene routine. If you are not doing so already, floss your teeth twice a day, just before brushing. It will remove any plaque build-up in between your teeth to create a whiter smile. Do you have braces? Consult a...

The importance of teaching your children road safety

Ensuring your child has a full grasp of the importance of road safety from an early age is crucial, not only to prevent accidents while they’re young, but also in the future when they’re operating on the road themselves. In this article, we’ll take you through a few quick and simple ways to teach road safety . The importance of holding hands In the first few years of a child’s life it is relatively easy for you to keep them close as they’ll be contained by the straps of a pushchair, but when they do grow up and become a little more adventurous, holding hands with mommy or daddy is no longer cool. This is where you have to jump in and insist that holding hands, especially when crossing the road, is the safest thing to do. There are a number of ways you can reinforce this behavior such as by creating a ‘hand in hands’ picture. Draw around the hands of both yourself and your child’s, put their cutout on top of yours and attach them with a split pin. This is a great team activity...

2017 Moonlight Chase

One event I look forward to each year is the Moonlight Chase in Eldridge, Iowa!  It is a four-mile run and close to 1000 people run in it. They also have a 1/4 mile and 1 mile run for kids.   Y'all know  Selah likes to run so she did the 4 miles and Titus did the 1/4 mile.  So Titus took 10th place!  Selah keeps on shocking us with her runs!   She did four miles in 34.02!!   She is only 9 years old so that is a phenomenal time... way better than what I could do.   I am so proud of both of my kids!

Como Zoo- Minnesota

If you go to Minnesota then going to Como Zoo is worth the time and energy!   It is a free zoo- suggested donation of only $3.  There is a conservatory that is beautiful as well.    We were able to feed giraffes for $5, and watch the seal show.  They also had other education offered throughout the day.  Parking was even free too!!!!

Finally Family Time

Sometimes time goes so quickly.  I look at both of my nephews and wonder how they grew up so fast.   I remember them both being so little and now they are grown adults. I hope they will always know that I love them no matter what and all the time even miles away I think and pray for them often.
