Child Training Bible Review and **Giveaway**

CHILD TRAINING BIBLE or CTB is a neat way to set up your Bible. Please read more about it, read my review, and enter a giveaway to get started on your own Child Training Bible.  :)   What is the CTB? From their site: "This Bible is designed for parents and children to seek answers from God's Word on Common sinful problems. Topics include: disobedience, selfishness, anger, complaining, and fear.  The Child Training Bible makes it easy for parents to bring the truth of God's Word into times of instruction.  Simply use the key on the inside -front cover of the CTB to locate the sinful behavior and find the section and color flags to go to.  Read the highlighted verses with your child and explain what god says about the behavior that needs to be addressed.  With the CTB you can make the most of your time with your children by using Scripture to instruct them in Righteousness."       Watch a Video Tutorial Here . Homemade Painted Name Frames

With the new house comes new decorating! :)  I wanted the kids to help create the art for their rooms so we created some neat name canvas prints.  :)  JoAnn's had the canvas on sale so that was a bonus.  The kids then picked out some paint.  Selah picked pink, purple, and yellow, and Titus picked yellow, blue, and green.   I used painters tape to write there names.  This tape is easy to pull off and I was happy with the results.  There were only a couple small spots where paint seeped through a little bit.   It was fun watching the two paint.  Titus used a brush for a little bit then had fun using his fingers.  Selah on the other hand did not want her color's to mix.  She used her fingers for most of her painting.   So what do you think?  I LOVE THEM!!!!!  :)  I think we might have to do this again!  :)

In Memory of Bear

I got one of those dreaded phone calls today.  My sister's dog passed away.  Now some of you might think "it's just a dog."  The truth is that this was not just a dog, I know this dog was like a child for my sister. Bear was a gentle dog and he loved everyone.   I know my sister is hurting right now so please pray for peace to surround her, and for her broken heart to mend.  She also has another dog too so pray that he does not feel lonely now that his playmate is gone.   It is one of those situations where there is nothing you can say to make you feel better.  So I hope my sister knows that I love you and I will always be here for you!  xoxoxo

Rummage Sale, Bridal Shower, and hubby was away at a conference!

Wow, I made it!  I just don't know how those single mom's do it??  The couple weeks my hubby has been gone.  His students went to nationals for Bible Quizing and then he was at a conference out of state the last few days.  He came home last night and I sure was happy to see  him.  While he was gone, I was dealing with my son who just broke through 2 teeth and one was a molar.  With that in mind I was also organizing a rummage sale with a bake sale with the youth group and also a bridal shower.  I am so thankful to all the people who were able to help out! :)  YAY! I just need a few days to relax and catch my breath!  :) Oh, and clean my house now!  :0

Evangelizing through Sidewalk Chalk! (Chalk Fun Idea Number 1)

The weather is getting nice again so we are going to be outside having fun!  :)  I love warm sunshiny days!  :)   Yesterday we took the sidewalk chalk out and decided to make a message so anyone on a walk would be reminded of the Love Christ has for them.  :)   I have been talking about sharing our faith with anyone and everyone with my daughter.  Just like we are called to go in to the world and preach!  Well, I think our younger generations are going to have a powerful voice! A voice loud for GOD!  AMEN!!   For this activity I drew each letter and allowed my daughter to color them in.  Even Titus got the chalk out and in between tastes he scribbled a little too.  :)  While we were drawing this we were talking about ways to share Jesus.  We talked about some of her friends at the YMCA who she could share His love with them. We discussed what it means to plant seeds in peoples lives.  :)   Ove...
