"The Princess Twins" Book Review

I know I posted a review about a month ago about "The Princess Twins."  Well, I have 2 more "The Princess Twins" I CAN READ series books that I reviewed.   The first one is "The Princess Twins and the Birthday Party" and the second is "The Princess Twins and the Tea Party" both came out in May 2012.   About the story: "The Princess Twins and the Birthday Party" Princess Emma and Princess Abby put on their fancy dresses and tiaras to celebrate their birthdays.  Too bad when a party guest arrives and feels less than beautiful in her plain dress, she leaves the castle.    Can the Princess twins help their friend and remember where true beauty lies?   My Review: My daughter is still in her fun princess stage.  She absolutely loves anything and everything princess related.  These books are fun for her because they are princess stories but I love them because there is always a Biblical lesson to be learned.  :)  I th...

The kids first Twins Game

On our weekend visit to my dad's my sister was able to snag 4 free tickets to the Twin's game!  It was a nice blessing to get free tickets, we wanted to go but we had no idea how long my littlest one would last at a ball game so it was nice to get free tickets so we did not feel guilty about leaving in the 6th inning.  :)   The kids did great and they had a fun time.  We arrived early so we could get the free Jersey's for kids day.  They are youth size large, so the kids have years to grow into them.  My daughter is actually wearing her jersey as a nightgown!  :)  I fit into Titus jersey for now so when he grows up I will hand it down to him.  :)   Titus fell asleep during the came!   So we were blessed with the tickets and then by the jersey's too but on top of that if you visit guest services they will give you a free certificate if it is your first game.  :)  So we went and got one of those for each of my kiddo...

First 5K Run

So I did it!!!!!!!  I ran and finished my first 5K race!  I set a goal to run it under 30 minutes and I smashed my goal!  :)  I ran it in 28:29!  I had some doubt in the race about finished in under 30 minutes.  I did not train much and running outside is much different then inside.  I tried to find a person to trail behind with a good pace but at first it was tough everyone seemed to be running at a faster  pace then I was used too.  The course was not terribly difficult but it was humid out and there was a slow incline as we headed out on a country road with no shade.  Then once we got half way the wind started to hit us.  It felt good to have a cool breeze but I felt I was slowing down.  Overall my mind was doubting but my heart was cheering "go go go."   :)  I am sure I can beat that time next time too!  :) :)  Not only was I pleased with my performance but my dad too!  It was a shocker to see him o...
