You bring a smile to my face!

Beautiful daughter of mine, I have so much I want to tell you.  First, you are growing and becoming quite the young lady.  I look at you now and I see a young little girl who is care free, loving, passionate, energetic, fun, funny, and you really brighten my days.  I am so blessed to call you my daughter.  I love praying for you and with you every day.  I know God has some very big things in your future and I am excited to be your biggest cheer leader.   You have such a sweet spirit about you that is contagious and fun.  Your smile is big and full of life as well as your big beautiful eyes.  God sure created you with a one of a kind beauty!  I know this year is going to go so quickly but I will savor it up as best as I can.  Right now you go to schools in the afternoons which means your mama gets to love on you all morning!  :)  You love to come with me to the YMCA and you are a helpful sister.   The chore...

Story Book Pumpkin-Pinkalicous Pumpkin

Last week I came across this blog post showcasing these storybook pumpkins- Check them out here:  http://sunnydaysinsecondgrade.blogspot.com/2012/10/storybook-pumpkins.html?spref=fb I absolutely loved each and every pumpkin on there.  I think it is a very neat idea for each classroom to take the time to pick a favorite story and then brainstorm on how they can showcase that story on a pumpkin.  I think my favorite on the list was Fancy Nancy.  ADORABLE!   I know most of you who follow this blog know my daughter loves Pinkalicous!  We just had a fun Pinkalicous Birthday party for her so we took some time to create our own story book pumpkin.  We had a white pumpkin just waiting to get painted so we started by painting the pumpkin pink.  After the paint dried my daughter used markers to make the face.  Then with my help I used yarn and pipe cleaners to make the pig tales.  We also still had a wand from her...

Closed on Sundays...

Hobby Lobby just opened up in our town and I am so pleased with their Christian principals.   I never realized that this store was Christian owned until I read this sign on their door.  My husband informed me that they also donate to many christian organizations.  Here is a list of some neat organizations Hobby Lobby donates too:   http://www.hobbylobby.com/our_company/ministry.cfm Also, David Green, the Owner and founder of Hobby Lobby is #79 on Forbes list. Some other neat facts:  Green started Hobby Lobby with a loan of $600 in 1970.   Green opened up the first Hobby Lobby in 1972.  One of the really neat things they donated was 1.4 BILLION copies of Good News to homes in over 100 countries.   David Green was a pastors son and they did not have much money growing up.  Hobby Lobby also is trying to protect us from the health care mandates... Obama-care.  Hobby Lobby actually has a lawsuit out on several Health car...

Salt Shaker Pumpkin

One of the craft projects my daughter completed at the Octo Bird Fest was a pumpkin.  These pumpkins were made from contact paper.   It was very simple!  They had per-cut all the pumpkins so all we had to do was up the sticky sheet off and stick on some pre-cut eyes and then grab the salt shaker and shake on some colored sand.   Very simple yet fun!  :)

Primal Pit Paste Giveaway

Praises of a Wife and Mommy has not reviewed this product.  I am helping promote the giveaway of this product because I believe some of my readers would be interested in an all natural deodorant.  Praises of a Wife and Mommy is not responsible for prize shipment.  I do hope one of my readers will win this prize.  :)  GOOD LUCK A  few weeks ago I saw a story on my local news about a new product which was developed by a woman who was concerned about the lack of all natural deodorants that actually work. She had been looking for a deodorant for one of her children and found that most of the "shelf" deodorants all contained toxic chemicals that she didn't want on her child. There were all-natural options of course, but none that she felt did the job. Her solution? Develop her own! And so began Primal Pit Paste. You can read the story yourself HERE . After seeing this great story on TV I knew that I too must ...
