Designed for girls ages 8 and up, the revised edition of this Bible is easy to understand and provides age-appropriate features to encourage independent reading.  The  Young Women of Faith Bible, NIV , is also linked to the  Women of Faith Study Bible  so that girls can have the opportunity to explore the Scriptures alongside their mothers (or other influential female role models in their lives), forging a strong bond in faith.   Former youth pastor and high school teacher Susie Shellenberger, general editor of the  Young Women of Faith Bible, NIV , knows the importance of having age-appropriate resources for the spiritual development of young women. Beauty and the Beast-Date with my Daughter

I look at this picture and think, "Wow, we sure do look a lot alike!"   Then I sit back and think, "I sure hope she remembers the fun we had on this date."    I truly have a deep love for theater!  I was involved in drama in high school and even though I am not on a stage in the present moments the opportunities I had in High School has prepared me for the many other speaking arrangements such as teaching and preaching!  This production of "Beauty and the Beast" left us giggling and enjoying our time out.   My favorite character in the show was Lumiere and my daughter liked the Mad'em - the Duster.   Lumiere was impressive with his accent- he really sounded natural with it!  He also made me laugh the most!  I wonder why my daughter liked the Duster lady and I think it boils down to she was very flirtatious and also had a fun accent.   During intermission the show was selling Icee's in these fun Chalice glasses so of course we ha...

My Bedtime Story Bible-Book Review

About the book: My Bedtime Story Bible focuses not only on biblical characters and stories, but also on the quiet times of those characters before sleep. Parents will enjoy reading My Bedtime Bible Story to their children just before bed. And children will enjoy hearing stories about bible characters and the truths they can learn from them---all in a manner that promotes quiet, settled moments rather than noisy, busy times. My Review: This is an adorable Bible for the younger age groups.  My son almost 3 and 6 year old daughter do enjoy it.  My favorite part is the last section for each night, "Tuck In" where it gives you an item to pray for each evening together.  It takes each Bible story and applies a practical way to pray.  It is a must have Bible for the younger age groups-toddlers, preschoolers, and younger school aged children.  The pictures are also very bright and eye catching.   I was given a copy of this book to conduct and ...

Hard weeks need lots of giggles!

Who is seriously able to keep a straight face when you see this?   I know i get a smile and a giggle when I see these two darlings!   My kids sure knew how to get me in a better mood this week.   It was a hard week for me at work since two of my students were leaving my classroom.  I don't care how long you teach or how long you have had a student, when one of your students leaves your room your mama instinct kicks in and emotions flare up.  I have spent the last few months with these two boys and they will be heavy on my heart the next few weeks as they make their transitions.  I know I am blessed two have these two goofballs help me focus on the positives for the day!
