Your Guide to Homeownership as a Parent

Image Credit: Unsplash Choosing a home as a parent means thinking differently than when you bought your first place alone or as a couple. It’s about balancing your children's immediate needs with your family’s long-term future. This guide will help you find and keep a home that grows with you. Weighing Family Needs in Home Choices When you have kids, a home is much more than just rooms; it's the center of your family's life. Look past basic stats like square footage and really think about the layout. An open-concept living area might be perfect for watching toddlers, while a separate den or finished basement could give teenagers the space they need. Don't forget to check out the neighborhood. Good local schools are often a top priority for parents, who might also look for parent education guidance . Also, consider how close the home is to parks, playgrounds, and community centers. A quiet street with little traffic is a huge plus for safety, and a fenced-in yard gives...

Worthy Girl: A Beautiful Reminder of Who God Says She Is #ad #worthygirl #BelieveBigger #LiveBolder #ProsperHigher

Hey you guys I am so excited to share this book with my readers... Worthy Girl: Believing in God’s BIG Purpose for You by Marshawn Evans Daniels is the book! I honestly got emotional reading it. Maybe part of that is because I’m a mom, and my own little girl is about to turn 19 as well as having a 15 year old boy. How did that happen so fast?! Parents they grow up fast don't take these years for granted, go and get the books and read and talk to them before time runs out! I think the bigger reason this book touched me is because there is so much power in the words we speak over ourselves, over our girls, over our entire family. They say it takes 5 positive comments to cancel a negative one, so trust me you need this positive book to help your kids! This book is filled with positive encouragement and truth on knowing that God has special plans for each of us! Worthy Girl gives parents an opportunity to begin building a little girl's identity on truth... God's truth that p...

Book Review: "Don't Stop Praying" By Matthew West #dontstoppraying #matthewwest #WPublishing

I have enjoyed Matthew West ’s music for years, so when I heard about his book Don’t Stop Praying , I figured I would enjoy reading it too and I absolutely have. One of the things I appreciated most was how Matthew began the book by walking readers through different parts of the Lord’s Prayer in separate chapters. It was such a meaningful and powerful way to break down prayer into something personal, approachable, and real. Instead of prayer feeling scripted or intimidating, the book reminds readers that prayer is simply a conversation with God. There were several moments throughout the book that deeply connected with my own heart and current season of life. One quote especially stood out to me: “God, I can’t handle this alone and I’m not going to pretend that I can.”   I actually shared that quote on my social media because it perfectly captured feelings I have wrestled with myself. Sometimes the simplest prayers are the most honest ones. Another thing I loved about this boo...
