Shaving Cream Eggs

Happy Easter HAPPY EASTER!  Christ is RISEN!   This shaving cream dyed eggs was a blast.  It was very messy which is part of all the fun.   I know several friends who did this style of eggs this year.  Here are a few tips to help you get your eggs to look marbleized.   1. Put shaving cream in a cake pan and add drops of food coloring.  2. Take your egg and roll it in the shaving cream and food coloring.   3. Set your eggs out to dry. 4.  Once dry wipe off the excess shaving cream.  If I were to do these eggs again I would find gloves to wear so our hands were not so pretty after.  ;)  I also would add only a couple colors to the food coloring so the colors don't mix and turn brown.   My daughter is asking to try it again so we just might have to before tomorrow.   What type of egg dyeing did you do this year?  Last year we did Kool-Aid Dyeing .   I pray you all have a wonderful time celebrating our Risen Savior!  I feel very bless

Guest Post: A Touch of Spring- Creating a Sunroom to Relax in

Does your home have a sunroom? Sunrooms are beautiful spaces that do a wonderful job at merging the indoors with the outdoors. They create a nice room that’s versatile and comfy, allowing you to easily entertain friends and relax in an accommodating interior. If you don’t have a sunroom you can always hire a professional to create a home addition when time and money allows. What’s more, if a neighbor friend has a sunroom or you plan on having one soon it’s never time like the present to think of the many ways to embrace this charming space and enjoy it during the spring time and beyond. A Dining Room that Merges with Your Porch – If you desire to have a semi-outdoor dining area all that you need to do is move your dining room furniture on your covered porch. A covered porch is perfect because it gives you a glimpse of the great outdoors but also keeps you inside. Many times a dining room that’s a part of a porch is right near the kitchen, making

Guest Post- Food for Thought for Active Mothers- Food and Vitamins that Help with Tendonitis

Food for Thought for Active Mothers – Food and Vitamins that Help with Tendonitis You may currently be suffering from tendonitis if you have a painful feeling that won’t go away either in your shoulders, elbows, wrists, heels, or even behind your knee. If you’re wondering what exactly a tendon is, it is a fibrous cord that connects your muscles to your bones. Tendonitis can be fairly common if you are a fit mother who likes to stay active on a regular basis and you happen to use the same muscle over and over again during a favorite sport or exercise. Once you have tendonitis it is not fun to deal with, especially if you are keen on running, exercising, or trying a new class at the gym. However, there are ways to counteract tendonitis with vitamins such as glucosamine, eating the right foods, and icing your injury so that it heals properly. You don’t want to start your spring in pain when all you want to do is stay fit and fierce! How Glucosamine Helps

Sharing that JESUS is RISEN- You've been EGGED

Today the kids and I took a walk and handed out three Easter baskets with a great little message and an invitation to our church for Easter.   Thanks Fab n Free for the free printable.  My husband did change the printable into one that we could leave in a basket instead of hiding eggs in some strangers yard.   We moved to our neighborhood about a year ago and sadly we still do not know many neighbors.  So we said a prayer before we left and we had fun leaving some baskets for some neighbors.   The main idea that comes across on the sheet is "JESUS IS RISEN."  The wording on the sheet said, "You've been EGGED, there are 12 eggs in this basket but don't get discouraged when you find the empty egg because it's a simple reminder that Jesus' tomb is empty for HE IS RISEN.   Happy Easter"   This was such a simple way to share our Faith!  I encourage each of you to find simple yet practical ways to share the Love of Christ!

Glowing Easter Egg Hunt

This year we are getting creative with our egg hunt.  We still have about 2 feet of snow still outside so doing an outside egg hunt sounds cold and wet!  We put some glow sticks inside each egg and hid them inside our tent with a ton of ball pit balls.  It was a blast!  Each of my kids took several turns of finding them.   So if you are a fellow Wisconsinite or Midwestern with still a lot of snow on the ground here is a new spin for your Easter!  :) Go have some fun and make some new memories with your children, but don't forget to share the true meaning of Easter!  HE IS RISEN!!

Dial has a new body and hair wash for kids.   The Dial brand provided me with a sample of Dial Kids Body and Hair Wash in exchange for a product review   However, all the opinions expressed here are my own.   "For 65 years, the Dial brand has been developing trusted personal care products for clean, healthy skin.  Dial is excited to announce its entry into the kids' personal care segment with new Dial Kids Body and Hair wash that offers age appropriate variants developed to address the specific skin needs of children."  Dial Kids Peach Clean for ages 2+ was the product that was sent to me.  Dial Kids Peach Clean is aimed for kids between the ages of 2-5.  I love the peach scent!  It is a newer scent for me to smell for kids products and my kids loved it too.   As a parent I was even more excited that the product was tear free, hypoallergenic, used NO artifical dyes or added parabens, and is Ph balanced.  Thanks Dial for making this kid's soap

Say Goodbye to Whining, Complaining, and Bad Attitudes... in You and Your Kids BOOK REVIEW

Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book to conduct a review, all opinions are 100% mine and I was not compensated for this review.   Book Description:   Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller offer a thorough program for establishing honor as a basis of family life — not just children honoring parents, but parents respecting children and children honoring each other. Even if honor seems a long way off in your household, you will find practical suggestions here to bring that goal a little closer — suggestions for kids of all ages. Honor is the biblical value that will bring about good behavior. It’s more than just changing what kids do; it’s changing the deeper issues of the heart that triggered the behavior. My Review: You know your reading a good book when you can't sit down with the book without your highlighter.  I think I may have highlighted something on each page!!  Trust me each page had something for every parent and for every age of parenting.   Almo

Happy 2nd Birthday Little Man

What a fun celebration we had this weekend to celebrate my little 2 year old!  It's sad to admit my baby is truly a big boy now!  We are on our way to potty training, more talking, and more fun!   HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! This year we had a ball themed party.  It fit perfect for my little pitcher, he loves throwing balls!   As you can see we had a ball pit cake and cupcakes, and little ball pit bars to hand the kids as they were leaving to say "thanks for coming"  and "Hope you had a ball."   I will admit the cake was kinda messy.  It was stuck in the pan and I had a terrible time trying to frost it.  :(  I made it look as best as I could.   I used gumballs in the cake and the cupcakes had either gumballs or Trix cereal.  I also used the Trix cereal to created Marshmallow treats that looked like a ball pit.  They were yummy!  :)  The games were my favorite part!  We had a lot of ball pit balls and my boss graciously let me borrow he

Neater Feeder Review and Giveaway

I have two kids and one dog running around this house and before I had the Neater Feeder it was a common problem of spilled water and food on my kitchen floor from the dog dishes.  It was so annoying to be walking through and come out with wet socks from the spilled water.  I am so thrilled the problem has been avoided since we started using the Neater Feeder.  Thank you Neater Feeder for sending me this product to conduct my review.  All opinions expressed are my own and I was not paid for this review.   The Neater Feeder comes in two colors, cranberry or bronze.  Since I have a girl dog I went with the cranberry color, which also matches some of the decor in my kitchen.  As you can see from the image above they have the right size for your cat or dog. They also include leg extensions to raise it even more if needed.  I have had the Neater Feeder for several days and the system works great!  I love having a dry floor and I am happy my little pooch is enjoying her ne

The Berenstain Bears Storybook Bible

Book Description:                                  Join Papa, Mama, Brother, Sister, and Honey Bear  as they read favorite Bible stories together as a family and imagine what it would have been like to see Adam and Eve in the garden, watch Noah build the ark, and listen as Jesus tells a parable to the people. Told with words and pictures in the beloved Berenstain style, twenty-three Old and New Testament stories come alive for young readers.                                                                                                                  My Review: One important thing I have done with my daughter is create a good habit of making sure we read her bible before bed.  I know it is my job as a parent to instill a devotional life at a young age.  My daughter and I have read through several different children's bibles and I believe my daughter has enjoyed this one with the bright Berenstain Bear pictures.   Since she is very familiar with many of the sto
